Amazing place, I've been here quite a few days for lunch. Both the premade rolls and the custom sushi rolls are amazing. Can be a little bit if wait at peak time but only because it's so good ☺️

I was fortunate enough to go here today and have the best sushi I've had in Australia - in fact probably the best I've had since i was in Japan! The only thing better than the food was the service, it was an absolute treat of an experience. Thank you, can't wait to return.

I have ordered here previously on Deliveroo and thought the food was delicious. I stopped by for the first time on my way home this afternoon, and ordered in person. The lovely man who served me was very kind and had wonderful customer service. As always, my meal was delicious :) It is wonderful to have access to vegetarian donburi so close to home

I grabbed some rolls for my kids here yesterday. They both said it was the best sushi they’d ever had. They are highly critical teenagers, so an unprovoked positive comment from them is amazing. They also eat a fair bit of sushi, so the standard was already high. I found the service completely adequate, but I wasn’t looking for a deep emotional connection, just some good sushi. I will definitely be returning for more.

I placed an order online for a pickup one week in advance and had my partner collect it for me. Very happy with the service. Communication was good and the owner friendly and helpful. Only thing I would ask to change is the online order system. To have a comments box for any changes or requests on the be order. Aside from that very happy. Sushi was delicious and filling!

My wife and I love this sushi, it's the best we've tried. Delicious, filling and not expensive at all. The owner is extremely nice and kind and service is super quick. PS: try the ginger, it's awesome

Great vibe to the restaurant itself. The fish is always freshly cut, so no bitter frozen after taste or smell which is always a turn off when eating sushi. Sashimi was great. It’s nothing amazingly luxurious like a high end restaurant but the food is well worth it. Recommend a stop.

TERRIBLE SERVICE / OWNER ATTITUDE I abstained from commenting for a long time. But the truth is that the Sushi tastes great here, but the service/attitude of the owner is and has been nothing short of garbage - and the reason I abstained is because he's the sort of person who would find the opportunity to be vindictive, and he cannot handle criticism. This is fairly obvious if you look through other reviews and he selectively deals with positive comments only. You will also find a lot of my comments repeated by others below - and it hasn't had an impact on this owner at all. I argue that both product and service are required to an extent to run a business -and when feedback is given, you receive graciously. Being a regular customer for the better part of a year, I have basic things to ask for regarding service, as I understand there is a basic relationship that is created. But the owner simply cannot bring himself to connect to customers or care. When I raised this with him today, he dismissed it and said he was busy - but really, there were not many customers around compared to other businesses or other times I've been there. It is NOT a big ask, to not put the soy sauce into the same paper bag as the sushi, and for a bag for takeaway. You will see with some validity that other customers complain of the owner's attitude. This is absolutely true. Somehow it was my fault today that I expected the very minimum service of not putting my sauces into the same paper bag - and just putting it to the side - with a takeaway bag. This is a result of slow, bad service with attitude. Not due to actually being busy. It's also fairly obvious he doesn't like parting ways with (1) extra paper bag - and putting these into a another bag. You can tell this comes from a place of personal unhappiness, greed and general disdain for anything outside what suits him. It was also funny to see that he 'paused for a moment' because he knows what I am after (as I have been a customer for about a year), but decided to go with his 'greed-based rule' and give me a berating and dismissive attitude toward comment when I raised my want for 'basic service' . Why not just do the thing for the customer in that meantime, instead of taking that same time to berate and dismiss? Why not improve processes? It's pretty clear the owner is only after selling sushi and making money - this is evident in the premium pricing above and beyond the claim of 'fresh' etc. He is incredibly unfriendly and unpleasant - he could learn a thing or two from the general customers who visit the store who I've found to be nice people. Again, the sushi is fine and quite tasty. But if you find customer service as an important part of your entire dining experience - which I happen to - I would give this place a miss, or at least minimal visit. (Long-term) Customers don't deserve to be treated in this manner. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth that somehow, the unpleasant treatment that you are subjected to by the owner (possibly not after this review) is somehow your fault, and you're an incredible inconvenience of a customer every time you visit. A small, petty and pathetic attitude on display - for a business so obviously focused on branding - but next to 0 internal branding. This translates pretty obviously to the service. The noted high turnover of staff is therefore, also unsurprising. 1/5
