We love Indian food Midweek Thursdays or Fridays. Particularly, we are fans of the cuisine from the Punjab, a region split by the Pakistan-Indian border. The regional food was made famous for its use of the Tandoori oven. (And of course the region is also famous for the religion of the Sikhs. If you surname is Singh and you don't cut your hair on your head, you are probably a Sikh.) Our favourite naan (from the Tandoori oven) is the Naan Amini or naan stuffed with paneer and spinach. Sooo Good!!!! Aamaya doesn't disappoint. Often, we just feel like Tandoori naan and Pappadums to start of dinner. Aamaya delivered again and again! For mains, there is a good selection of vegetarian and seafood curries. We order the extra hot, which is just under Indian hot. Two of those are more than enough for the two of us. We enjoy a glass of beer or a bottle of wine to share and the restaurant has a good selection of wines that are very fairly priced!!! In finishing, I would say, if you haven't tried this restaurant give it a go. Parking at Portside wharf is free for 3 hours in the basement car park after valuation of your ticket. After dinner, we like to have a short stroll along the river and wharf. Just loveley!

We went there after Van Gogh alive. Food was delicious and fast. Excelente service. The waitress was kind and attentive to our needs. Delicious naan complementary with curry. I had a great time and I ate more than I should have! Will come back.

Excellent food and nice staff. Really enjoyed the Dhal and Naan bread which was complimentary. I think I could live on that alone! I would recommend trying Aamaya.

This is a fantastic, family-run Indian restaurant. The fit out is beautiful, the staff are lovely, and their food is affordable. Most important, their food tastes amazing. So many places can't do naan properly but this place absolutely nails it.

Great service, the food was timely, and delicious the host was full of humour and made the visit enjoyable, they also were attentive to check up on us during our meal to see if it was all going well. The location was nice too. We went for a short walk along the waterfront to help settle all the food we had! Would recommend and will return.

Unsure how this place has got 5 stars. You can pretty much tell how good an Indian restaurant is from a dish called Biriyani. It is not easy to get this right, and Aamaya fell far from even getting close to getting this dish right. The dish actually tasted sweet which is not what it is supposed to be. I ordered medium and the dish was below mild! Quite disappointed with the garlic naan also which also came no where near the real thing. I had ordered takeaway - the guy was quick to grab my card and didn't even thank me for my business. Truly disappointed for a restaurant with "five star" reviews!

Ordered a take out. Good portions and good value for money. A bit too much gravy in both dishes and quite heavy, lacking in fresh vegetables. Lived in India myself and still looking for that authentic Indian in Brisbane.

Such a great dine in experience. The butter chicken was exceptional, served in a creamy well balanced sauce. Delicious coconut rice and the best garlic and cheese naan! Could not ask for anything better! Excellent customer service, staff are friendly and attentive - could not fault! Aamaya is one of the top Indian Restaurants in Brisbane, by far exceeds may others 5/5 stars.
