Pineapple Hotel

Compared to many other local pubs, you can't beat the view sitting on the back deck looking out over Raymond Park. The food however, was pretty ordinary. Overcooked egg on the steak sandwich, chips that tasted like frozen numbers that had been reheated a dozen times - mushy and flavourless. Won't be back for the food.

The food was really good, it just need some small adjustments for my taste but not a big deal, a little bit less of butter in the bread an some more minutes in the oven, less onion in the burger, because it’s too sweet (I just took it out) The steak was in the point and the burger was good as well. I love when I go to a restaurant and they have paper straws, that shows somebody is trying to do something better for the environment!

What a gem of a place! Fabulous food and lovely staff. We went for lunch and stayed for dinner! Our lunch was from the $12 specials menu. I had a “steak sandwich”; when I ordered, I asked if it could be a wrap, rather than a bread roll and the staff happily obliged! My friend enjoyed the fish and chips very much and then was delighted with the panna cotta (pictured). We enjoyed some refreshments, there’s a wide range of beers on tap and a front bar dedicated to special ales! There’s a TAB and plenty of televisions in the public bar area, great for the sports enthusiasts! We stayed on and enjoyed the chicken wings which were delicious and came with a blue cheese dipping sauce. This was my birthday treat for my friend and we both had a delightful time. The Hotel dealt with the check in requirement (immunisation certificates etc) very efficiently and courteously. A first class experience with something for everyone!
