Mother Africa

This was a good find in the suburbs from the Entertainment Book, so glad we tried it & will be returning with friends. This beats travelling out to Moorooka for an African meal. Parking at the back, which was very handy. Meals were very tasty. The fried beef was a little dry, but it was so tastie that we very quickly overlooked this. Recommend having the Red Beef Stew. This place is family run with mum doing the cooking & very polite son's serving. The only reason I gave a 4 star was because we were never given serviettes or wet ones, especially when you are eating with fingers & Injera. Food was very tasteful & the boys were very helpful with their recommendations.

A wonderful dining experience. I have been here several times and I am always impressed by the high standard of service. The staff are exceptionally friendly and kind. The menu has something to please even the fussiest eater - I highly recommend the combination of the red beef stew and green lentils. The food is fresh and you can watch it being cooked. Plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian friendly options. Book ahead if you intend to dine with more than 3 people. I strongly recommend supporting this family run eatery.

Firstly it's the food. Beautifully prepared and served. Wonderful range of meat and vegetable dishes and fabulous flavours. Secondly ... the service and value for money. The share platter exceeded all expectations. Thirdly ... it's wonderfully located with easy parking and so nice to dine in an intimate setting and watch the food being prepared. Fantastic place and bookings essential.
