Munich Brauhaus

I have had lunch here twice, once with a large group and also for a lunch for two. Food is delicious. The wait times are a little long during busier times but the wait staff are fantastic and we’re running where possible and extremely polite. My observation was that when it’s busy they don’t really accommodate with more staff, they seem to have the same number of staff at all times. The security guard was having to help clean up and serve, she was also lovely. Use google visitor times to find the best time to visit or expect to wait.

A bit of an average place on the scene there at southbank. The food is about 1.5-2 times too expensive, and they tried to charge us about $9 for each bottle of table water they brought out, which is a hit deceptive. They also only filled out 2L beer tube to about 1.6L, but they gave us an extra schooner to compensate after we mentioned it to them. The food was a bit above average, but the pretzels weren’t very soft. The highlights food- and taste-wise were the schnitzels, but the salad deal that they had going at lunchtime was great. I got the parmigiana schnitzel, my friends got salads and the Wiener schnitzel and the fish of the day. Not much was super notable about any of those meals. I think the best part of the restaurant is actually the atmosphere and decor, closely mirroring an Oktoberfest experience in Germany.

Great atmosphere, good food and the beer comes in steins. Always seems to be busy. We arrived without a reservation and were seated immediately (2 people). Unfortunately the service was a little slow after that and the meals took a long time to arrive. I found the pork knuckle to be very dry and it didn't have much flavour except for the crackling. The meals are also quite pricey and a stein will set you back around $25. Overall a nice place for a special occasion, as long as you don't mind the noise level and a long wait for food.
