The Lodge

Love this place!!! I have been quite regularly visiting this restaurant over an year period and each time it has been very nice experience. Always kind staff, food has been amazing each time, coffee has been one of the best. On top of it, this is a pet friendly environment and pooch is happy to have the puppy-chino and treat each time. Highly recommend anyone to pay a visit. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Since moving to the gap in December 2020 this has been my local and it's awsome. The hospitality and culture the lodge team display here everyday is impressive and refreshing. I'm always greeted by everyone with a smile and the service is above the standard for a small Cafe. The coffee and food is fantastic, I've had breakfast and lunch here many times and it's always good. One of my absolute favorite cafes in Brisbane.

Big fan of eating out around the gap, heard high praise for this cafe but upon arrival the atmosphere felt bland, lifeless and unwelcoming. The food was heavily overpriced especially the avocado toast as it was plain and underwhelming. My food was very cold upon arrival and the wait was at least 30 minutes just for avocado toast and a poached egg (which were rock solid and overcooked). The place was also seemed very understaffed for such a busy cafe. I will not be returning here and personally I would suggest going elsewhere.

Lovely donut but ordinary coffee as it wasn’t served hot. Coffee taste was good but literally scullable because it was slightly warm only and chai wasn’t mixed. Takeaways end up being tipped. And after tipping, check out the unmixed bits in the bottom. If they can dial up the temperature on the coffee making, and mix in chai properly it might be good.
