Waterline Restaurant @ Friday's Bar Restaurant Club

Attended a 21st at the Bridge Bar. Great view. Staff were very helpful. Music got too loud in the area of our function, eventually staff could turn the volume down in our section during 'speeches'. We were unable to order food via app or at bar setup for our function as POS system didn't have the latest menu so had to order at main bar. Food came in good time and what we ordered was really nice. Tables very wobbly due to the tiled floor. We had a great night of celebration with family and friends.

Service lacking and food was inconsistent between servings. We arrived before noon and ordered drinks via the table QR code then chose meals and placed that order also then sat back to enjoy the great view while we waited and waited and waited. Based on the size of the place it was not busy as barely any inside tables were occupied but most of outside was. It's the 2nd time trying them for lunch as the first wasn't a great experience but they were very busy and we were giving it a second chance. It took 20 minutes to get the first drink and we waited for our food. We ordered a 2nd drink and waited for our food. While we waited the table next to us got their drinks then their food then sent a steak meal back and had it replaced then finished their meal and left. Yes, we asked where our food was and were told they were very busy but it was on its way. It was just on an hour when one of our party went to the serving area to ask after our meals and was told they were just plating them. It was another 10 minutes before our 2 burgers arrived with a steak still on it's way and another request some minutes later again and the steak still on it's way. Steak finally arrived a little overcooked but acceptable. All 3 meals were from the $12 lunch menu but the steak was by far the best choice. The burgers came on a large Turkish bun and were ok but 1 burger had 1 beef patty while the other had 2. All in all I'd have to say if you've got the time and like a good value meal while enjoying a great view then go for it but if you're in a hurry then it could be a let down.

We went and had the $59 afternoon brunch for 2 hours, food and cocktails galore. Must have minimum 4 people and up, set menu of whole baked barramundi and slaw, garlic cheese pizza, baked roast potatoes, melt in the mouth steak, roast chicken and rice, beautiful salads, beetroot, fetta, walnut and spinach, spicy coleslaw, and mixed salad with egg, four different cocktails tequila cranberry, Pimm's, mojito and peach ?. Live music playing too, great view of the Brisbane River and the story bridge. After filling up on everything, we then moved to another table and enjoyed the view with a few more drinks, none of this asking you to leave. Really recommend!

Normally love the atmosphere here but rude and disrespectful security ruined my experience. Was in line to get into the venue and was aggressively barked at by security as I was putting my mask on, to put my mask on and not act funny with it dispite being completely sober. If he had half a brain cell and less of an inferiority complex maybe he would've acted otherwise. Nevertheless, will not return purely based on the rude, obnoxious and poor behaviour of the security with a power trip.
