Embers Steak House

Embers is one of the best restaurants I have been to in recent years. It has a warm and relaxed environment with beautiful decor and wonderful staff who are friendly and helpful. They serve the best steak around that is cooked to perfection and have some wonderful wine options to go with it. If your wanting a evening that is non rowdy and classy this is the perfect place to get a meal

Amazing steak, but don't forget your wallet or you will need to wash a LOTof dishes to pay for your supper. Steaks are well up there with some of the best Ihave had anywhere. If you want more than meat on your plate, you will also need to order some salad or chips as a side, there isn't much else that comes with the standard steak plate. Worth it - yes. Go there on a weekly basis - only if you can afford it - then probably.

Been there with friends last night. The restaurant is not far from my workplace so we decided to give it a shot. The staff was nice and very very friendly. The food instead ... I expected a lot more for the price. We ordered 2 full racks of beef and pork ribs and you should have seen our surprised looks when the servant rocked up with those tiny little portions. A full rack is apparently just two little pieces of bones with some meat wrapped around. My friends got chips while I asked for an oven potato. Which really was just a potato wrapped in alloy - no sour cream or whatsoever. To be honest, for 46.50 AUD I would love to see actually some food on my plate. ;)

Have dined at Embers many times including one night when we booked the entire restaurant for a private function. Have never had a bad meal there. Steaks are always excellent. It's not cheap but it's well worth what you pay. If you haven't been there, try it at least once, I'l be surprised if it disappoints.

I had high hopes for Embers as they are listed as an affiliate of Squires Loft. Sadly I was disappointed. The steak wasn't bad by any stretch but it was not fantastic. The fact it was undercooked is not good enough for a steakhouse. This is what they do, so get it right the first time. Service was average too. They were not busy so I would expect to be offered a drink more than just after being seated.
