Hidden treasure here! I was recommended by a friend to this coffee shop and I was not disappointed. Best coffee in the area hands down. I had relocated here 9 months ago and was depressed not being able to find good coffee. The owners are friendly and they roast their own beans as well. I had the chicken burger (also recommended) and it was great! The flavour combination of the mayo and the chilli.. Mmmm. It's my regular haunt now. On my off days I'll come here and sit down and watch the world go by.

My third stop on my coffee hopping tour through Brisbane took me to Ginger & Green or Toybox Coffee Roasters, as they also roast their own coffee. Emily, who I first met at the Regional Coffee Championships a few weeks ago, also holds the 4th place of the 2020 Australian Coffee Championships. She prepared three different competition coffees for us: El Salvador, Ethiopia, and Panama. All coffees were light roasts and she ground the coffee very fine and brewed with a fast flow rate to extract the magical flavors our of these tasty beans. I especially liked the coffee first coffee from Jorge Raul Rivera (El Salvador). I have personally met him after the COE program in El Salvador back in 2019. I was impressed by his farm and have such good memories. Enjoying his coffee was like a throwback in time: Finca Santa Rosa in Chalatenlago Natural processed Pacamara Lot:P90 Altitude 1500-1600m Cherries are dried on african beds for 30 days in full shade with average temperatures of 20° celsius and humidity of 70%, moisture content is reduced to 10 -12%. In the cup, the coffee showed a sparkling yellow peach acidity, a full and round body, purple fruits finish like blueberry and dark chocolate. Soooooooooo nice! Thank you for this short trip back to El Salvador… and hopefully we ca all meet during MICE later this year.
