Reverends Fine Coffee

Stopped by today for coffee and lunch. What’s a great cafe. Friendly greeting as soon as we stepped in followed by equally friendly and efficient service. Great menu with a few unique choices. I had The mushroom and cheese toastie and it was amazing! So much delicious melted cheese! Will have to come back to try the spaghetti in toast. Prices are reasonable as well and the coffee was great.

I normally go to Dukes which is a few doors down as they are consistently amazing, but I went in to Reverends this morning to try the spaghetti on toast. I asked if they had it and they said yes. I ordered it with a side of bacon and paid. Then it turns out they didn't have it. The girl said I could choose something else so I did. Then she said I could fix up the difference at the counter on the way out, but then I had to clarify to her that the spaghetti cost MORE than the substitute I ordered. Then after everything came out, they still forgot the bacon. By this time I didn't care about the money and just had to get out of there. The guy was like "come see me when you come back and I'll have it made for you." Two things.... 1 - I have to wait specifically for him to be working next before I get what I paid for? How about offering a refund like a normal businesses would. 2 - I AM NOT EVER COMING BACK! It is also my understanding from some connected acquaintances that the new owners are underpaying their staff.

My wife and I have walked past this place many times before but decided to give it a go this morning, had a toasted almond croissant to share (wonderful), soy latte for me (pretty good) and an oat latte for the better half- which sadly was not so good, but not bad enough to complain about. Pricing was slightly above average but not unreasonable and timing was ok, but a pet peeve of mine is when people who have ordered after you get their orders before you...but the croissant is worth coming back for. There are literally dozens of coffee choices in the valley but only some have these croissants so we will be back and give it another go.

This place was an all-round perfect experience. From the friendly staff, to the delicious coffee and great food! We had the smashed avo and rueben sandwich with GF bread. Both were 10/10. The chocolate on top of the mocha was literally melting in our mouths. We even asked the staff for extra and they happily gave us more! There’s even a court yard at the back which was the perfect little spot to hang and enjoy breakfast.
