Morningside Thai Restaurant

Beautiful food, fantastic service. We had the Green crispy pork, which was absolutely beautiful. It came with broccoli and beans in a wonderful sauce. We also had the crispy chicken, which was also beautifully cooked. The great mocktails to drink were great too. The price is very reasonable. We could not fault this wonderful restaurant. You now have new regular customers 🙏

If you're looking for restaurants, located in Morningside, and selling Thai food, why not try the aptly named: "Morningside Thai Restaurant". While I have this establishment a strong 0/5 for naming originality, I award a strong 5 stars for food! I remember walking in, not feeling too hungry, thinking: "Let's just order 1 curry and some crispy chicken" for 2 people as a small meal. When the curry alone came out, I knew I'd ordered more than I could bargain for. The beef masaman was amazing, and the crispy chicken was supreme. Great job guys, and I enjoyed finishing the masaman for breakfast the next day. Love your work.

We really like this restaurant, I always ordered the same, my little son loves the fried rice there. I’m not a a frequent costumer, maybe one time per month on average I supposed. Unfortunately there is a cashier, a lady that has been really impolite and rude when I’m trying to order the last three times I’ve been there. This hadn’t happened before when there was another girl. The first time this happened I thought she probably had had a bad day and she was in a bad mood. The second time I notice her behaviour I was attentive so see if she was mean with other customers also, but no. But yesterday she was very rude. If she doesn’t “understand” she doesn’t even ask me politely to repeat, instead she just cuts me off while I’m trying to speak and repeats louder what she was asking as she were irritated and upset.. Yesterday she did the same, then opened her eyes and starts shouting out at me asking three times in a very disrespectful way “take away “ and moving her a hands as if I had a mental illness, Maybe she believes I don’t know English, she seemed very irritated. Then she rolled her eyes and kept with a grumpy actitud. It was very unpleasant even more because it hasn’t been the first time. This is not because she asks, it’s obvious that if you don’t understand you just have to ask again, but is the way she does. Absolutely lack of good manners. I sent a formal complaint to the admin and they said that it was normal because she was just asking again and they did an investigation and ALL WITNESSES said she just asked because she didn’t understand when I replied the first time “NO” to her “take away” question. But at that moment there were NO witnesses around. There were just the both of us. They just justify her behaviour as if I wasn’t aware of what’s been happening.

LOVELY Thai restaurant, pleasant staff and a nice atmosphere, the food is made fresh and fast. They have a fantastic lunch special menu with all your favorites dishes. I had the Massaman Curry and my wife had Tofo and veggie stirfry with basil and chili. The place was clean and well presented and is spacious enough for large groups.

Our eldest daughter took us along to this extremely fine Thai restaurant. One has choices of indoor or outdoor dining, not that it mattered in the end, as the food flavours were exquisitely dancing with our taste buds throughout the ensuing delightful experience. Would Highly recommend this establishment to anyone with adventure for Asian delights and surprises. We will be revisiting in the near future, highly recommend you see for yourself.
