So I've long hailed DA'Burger in New Farm to be the best burger place in Brisbane, but I think that this new place may just trump it (way to one-up yourselves guys). With the same items as before with an introduction of some new options (chicken wings, a lot more vegetarian/vegan burgers, and more alcoholic choices), this new location has significantly blown me away. I'm ridiculously impressed with the vegetarian burgers (Byron Way to be specific), which, for not actually being a vegetarian myself, was just so well curated in terms of flavors and freshness, it took me by surprise and I think I may have enjoyed it more than the also amazing and indulgent truffle cheeseburger. The staff were super friendly and helpful and overall, there wasn't a single thing about my experience that I didn't enjoy (other than the fact that I always have eyes bigger than my stomach). This new location is so worth the visit, even if you have had everything on the New Farm DA'Burger menu.

Fresh to open was great to learn about this news on Broadsheet. Brunswick St is my fav burger place in Brisbane, and Ascot rules equal first. Maybe better with a great fitout and plenty of seating, and the Green Lantern brew I had was sensational. Burger's were 10/10 as expected, chips too. Had interstate visitors with me, they were impressed too so I'm glad I could show off and eat here with them. Can't wait to go back, even if it's still out of my way.

Just what the area needed a solid, good quality burger restaurant. The fresh produce and creative menu speaks volumes about their quality of service and passion for what they do. A non-boring vegan menu and beer, what more could you want.

A new restaurant brings with it a new fitout, and the Ascot incarnation of DA’Burger is as light and fresh as its top quality salad ingredients, which are all sourced from local Queensland producers. It’s not just the salad items that are impressive though, with premier meat coming from Rayners Gourmet Meats in New Farm. Bearing this in mind, we decided that we had to try the Truffle Shuffle Burger, with Double Flame Grilled Black Angus Beef Patty, Triple Cheddar Cheese, Pickles, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Truffle Mayo and Mustard. My usual beef with anything that promises truffle on the menu is that it’s never truffl-y enough. Not so with this burger creation. The earthy truffle flavour permeated the burger beautifully, and the double beef patties were decadently good. This burger definitely took hand-held-eating up a notch and made for a seriously indulgent experience. It’s not all about the meat here though, with DA’Burger offering up a vast array of delicious-sounding vegan and vegetarian burgers. So much so that my carnivore-inclined tastebuds had to get involved in one. Wanting a bit of a kick in my burger, I opted for the Hoogley Street, with Flame Grilled Soy Bean Patty, Guacamole, Jalapenos, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Chrissie’s Tomato Relish. I usually find veggie burger patties a bit hit and miss- they can end up being a bit too gloopy for my liking. This burger patty however was right on point. It was grilled beautifully and held together so tightly that it was basically “meaty” in texture. I genuinely forgot I was eating a veggie patty it was that good. The slight heat from the jalapenos was a nice touch as well and made this vegan burger particularly moreish. The house-smoked chicken wings with with Miso, Honey and Rice Wine sauce were also particularly moreish.

2nd favourite Brisbane burger, trumped only by the new farm store with its cozy dining experience. Went with work colleagues a few days after opening. Food was spot on as always, won over a few converts who said they would definetly be back! On a plus side one of our group was after a carb free option, they obliged and what came out (burger stack) made the whole group extremely jealous!
