Kiss My Fish

I used to come here regularly since it first opened in about 2008 or so. But lately the quality has really fallen. I kept going back trying to give it a chance...The nail on the coffin was ordering a fish burger. it came with 3 tiny pieces of fish (as opposed to a full fish fillet) - that felt like off cuts picked up off the floor. Seriously. Why bother even putting the fish in there at all - just call it a salad sandwich: at least you'll be being honest. Sorry for the negative feedback - but even when I told the staff that this was unsatisfactory the staff member just told me that's the way they've always done it. Which is rubbish. I've been going there for YEARS and they used to give you a full fillet of fish. Honestly McDonalds would have been better. At least they gave me a refund. But - I'm posting this because this business needs to respect its customers and lift its quality. My mother said the last few times she's ordered the fish has been grey/dirty. Sure - you want to make a profit but don't serve sub-par quality food and charge premium prices. Such a pity to see what was once a great business cut corners like this.

Looks like this place is turning a corner. Cooked to perfection, ordered the Barra & Snapper was delicious. Good clean oil , and drained really well - Spot On 🙏 Quite like the beer battered fries too, but seem to get more if you order a Large beer battered fries separately as opposed to ordering it with a full order included 4 battered fish . Maybe a smidge less salt & 💯

Its a long standing fish and chip shop with new owners. I am pleased to say they have maintained the quality of the food along with good service. We had the seafood platter for 2 and I thought it was great. All freshly made, the fish was great and the prawns were good too. Standard beer battered chips are cooked well.

Enjoyed a really beautiful, FRESH, Grilled sweet lip fillet with coleslaw - flavoursome seasoning at a great price for 3 of us seated in perfect positioning on a yucky hot summer noon time to enjoy a really lovely breeze!!! Better still, at a great value price too! ($37.80 for 4!!!) Definitely my new local go to place for fish & salad!!
