Chaa-ba Thai Cafe

If I can give negative star I would have 😡 ordered at 6:25 and food didn't arrive until 8:10. To add to the insult, my supposedly chilli basil noodle was not spicy and only has three basil leaves in it Ordered Pad Thai for hubby and it was missing tamarin and ....are you ready for this ? It was cooked with instant noodle style thin noodle and the peanuts were also missing. Like What the actual ???!! Kids had oyster stir fried chicken 🐔 can you guess if we had any luck ? Bingo ! I am glad you are catching on !!! No oyster sauce flavour at all !! So all in all, the only positive about this whole experience is : all food were cooked and I didn't have to cook ( although, having said that I wish I had !!!/) NEVER bloody AGAIN 😡

Don’t dine in!! You have a ridiculous surcharge (about $10 for 2 meals) which would be fine if the service was even just a little bit okay. I understand that they might be busy but it’s not good enough to wait an hour for food and then to be told that they had run out, especially when they told the table over 20-30 mins before. Changed the order and asked how long it would take to make the meal and we were told 5 minutes, but it arrived 20 minutes later… no water refills and it was clear they only focus on take away.

From reading the comments below, this restaurant has some pretty serious time management issues. Ordered Uber eats at 6.25pm, waiting waiting and they ‘cancelled’ my order at 8.15pm? No communication, nothing. I would of been completely okay with them cancelling it as they were too busy. But not after 2 hours? Don’t bother, plenty of other food Thai restaurants in the area.

Chaa-Ba Thai Cafe is one of the best Thai restaurants in Brisbane. The service is wonderful and very friendly and food is delicious. I also loved the atmosphere of place and it added lot to my dining inn experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any type of celebration as well as for really nice place to dine for two;o) ps. Beef Massaman Curry is supreme!

NEVER AGAIN! Ordered at 7.03pm initially advised 7.40pm pick up, then 7.50pm then 8pm eventually handed the food at 8.12pm. Not an apology or any attempt to explain. One meal item was swapped out without advice. The chicken dish had 2 small strips of rubber chicken. The beef was even less meat. The rice was a solid sticky mess. Worst take away I have ever tasted and service even worse.

Couple of weeks ago ordered food 7:45ish on uber eats and time kept getting pushed back until 9pm when they cancelled the order because they were closed... without even letting me know! Tried again tonight ordered at 7:30pm and driver is still waiting at restaurant at 9:15. I used to order from here all the time but never again. What is going on with this restaurant!?

Sorry to say, but this was my worst dining experience in a long time. In my small group they got meals wrong, completely missed one and when asked long after the others finally came, were told it's coming. It was the first meal ordered. It took so long after that we just said don't bother, but they still brought it out when we wanted to leave. Then to critique the food, it was very ordinary. Two of us liked their meal.
