This is an awesome restaurant where you can find the exact flavour of asian cuisine. The best place I've been so far to experience the taste of Asia. I'll definitely go there again and again. Thank you The Green Mango Ashgrove. 🥭

Excellent customer service from the owner herself and yummy entree specially the homemade curry puff 👌🏻 Thanks to the chef for the complimentary coconut rice.

Objectively the best Thai in the North(ish) side. The menu is quite extensive but the portion size and flavour is next level! They also manage their own deliveries, so no having to deal UberEats or anything like that. The staff are lovely and the vibes are great too.

Long waiting time, 40 minutes for one entrée. The price is higher than average but the food quality is just so so. The so called home made spring rolls, I can’t tell any difference from those frozen ones sold at Coles. The Queen on the nest , only 7 tiny crab pieces sitting on the top. Pa Thai chicken, the one I ordered in the food court is better than the one here. We wanted to support local business but it’s a very disappointing experience. I barely rate a restaurant so low. We won’t come back.

I was worried at first having read previous reviews, but I thought I’ll judge it for myself! Well the spring rolls were magnificent and the duck pancakes were pretty good for entrees I then had the crispy pork, wonderful!! My wife had Papaya salad and she loved it! The outside area was atmospheric and its well worth the visit. The owner came out to check on everything a few times( very attentive) thouroghly recommended by us!

I'm not usually one to write a review, even if a place is just average. However with this place I feel compelled to give my opinion, particularly after reading phrases here such as the "best Thai in Brisbane" and other similarly rave reviews. This is quite possibly the worst Thai I've ever eaten.
The seafood was tough, I mean super tough and chewy, like it was frozen and then heat blitzed before added to my dish - a dish which tasted bland and like it was lubricated as an after thought. I could have done much better myself.
My partner's curry was similarly insipid, watery and the prawns were extremely tough. All this for higher prices than average.
If you want the "best Thai in Brisbane", stay well, well away from this place.

Takeaway tonight, disappointed.. food was like home cooked sub par Thai. I could have made better myself. Beef stir fry was incredibly chewy, green curry was watery and tasteless. Coconut rice tasted like garlic. Cuts of meat are cheap and fatty. Sweet and sour chicken also watery. Will definitely not be going back.. you can’t really taste the difference between the meals cause they’re so tasteless. I feel like I just wasted $100.
I must say I’m also shocked at the high reviews. I’ve been to so many Thai places around Brisbane and this is by far the worst I’ve had.

The last time I ate at Green Mango (many years ago) it was very disappointing, but having just moved back into the area, I thought I'd give them another go.
I visited yesterday for weekday lunch with 2 friends. Service was ordinary: despite there being only 2 other dine-in patrons, it was 10 mins before a staff member even noticed us. There was also a reasonable wait on our meals. Even allowing for the possibility that the kitchen was handling multiple takeaway orders, the inattention during our visit was surprising, and as we only had a limited time for our lunch we had to go and find a staff member to pay our bill and ask for the rest of my meal to be popped in a takeaway container (I didn't have time to finish it). At this time we were repeatedly pressed to pay using cash (which wasn't a problem - just a bit tacky!) I was also taken aback that I was charged more for my meal than my friend (we'd ordered the same chicken pad thai dish, the only difference being that I had asked for mine without egg, due to dietary intolerance.) Today I enquired via message re the price discrepancy, and was grateful for a prompt response - apparently the additional cost for my meal was for the takeaway container! I absolutely support the need for small businesses to cover their costs, but the lack of transparency about the additional fee and tone of the response was disappointing.
The meal itself was pleasant without being anything amazing - it wasn't the worst Thai I've eaten, but certainly wasn't the best. It was enjoyable for what it was. I was expecting better for the price.
For now I will try to keep an open mind about Green Mango, but will heed the advice of other locals and next time try the other Thai place a little further up the road :)
