There yesterday, mixed reviews on this place. We ordered the cheese burger and the chilli cheese burger. Both with fries and soda....and a water. Presentation of the restuarant is ok, a little disjointed but still works. Hard with 2 fronts, one street and the other train passengers and shops. I think a dual frontage site needed more careful planning. Wasted opportunity in set out to maximize exposure and likability to sit facing the streetscape pen air. Food presentation was great, better than most places I found. Cleanliness of the place is 3 stars, found it was surface clean but closer look needed some more careful attention to details. Food taste etc, burgers taste spot on if you are after an American style dinner or burger place experience eating wise. A decent US style burger which most who have not traveled will not appreciate the simplicity of each burger. Fresh ingreds and meat was cooked well and tasted good. Chips were on point and well cooked in all our meals. Soda with the wax straw for that little kick of detail. Conflicted in my review as it's a 3.5-4 Star place. A little expensive but that is Southbank and most burger places now that run like this. Our Order: Chilli Cheese Burger, Sml Fries and Sprite Cheese Burger, Sml Fries and.Coke Sml Chips and Water Total cost circa $45 So that's what you are up for price wise....I leave the experience to you. Will try again, need to still be sold on the place but first experience was enough to come back in future to try something else.

This place is poorly designed, or the selection of the place for this shop is wrong. Its not a very big shop, but its kitchen occupied most of the space, which is right at the middle, leaving the dining area very cramped and narrow, which are also blocked by two giant pillars. Dining here was not very pleasant. But i forgot everything for their food. The burger was juicy, delicious. Their meat souced from Cape Grim in Tasmania, which tastier than other fast food chain. The parent company of this shop also cater food for Qantas flight

A truly disgusting sad choice of ingredients and flavor! So I just paid 30$ for 2 different burgers which both taste exactly the same. The flavor is Just like a McDonald's cheese burger. Except big chunks of raw onions... And less flavor. First off I am not a fan of McDonald's.. However I didn't think when paying this much for a gourmet burger I had to be abreast with McDonald's culinary spectrum. RIDICULOUS! the patty on both burgers were tasteless and under seasoned. The bacon was hard and cold, the onions as mentioned before, large raw chunks. And the supposed '' rose mayo '' tastes like pretty much nothing. overall extremely bland. I don't care for McDonald's at all.. But if I ever did.. I could actually get a better burger there for far cheaper. You can't just slap a famous chefs name on something and expect me to dance around praising this sadistic pile of ill-conceived trash burger! I rarely get so upset in a review.. But $30 for such a disappointing and frankly amateur attempt at 2 separate burgers... Neil.. This is Appalling

The burger project tasted so amazing! You all have to go & grab one now! The grass fed beef is deliciously awesome & love how it is chunky. 🤤 Loved it so much! Inside the burger is so fresh & full of salad!

My partner an I came here with the $10 free app credit, and I probably won't revisit :( Service was super quick and the burgers were really nice but nothing special. The design is a bit fancy, but all the tables were dirty in a near empty store. When we sat down, we noticed a medium high and low pitch hum, which became increasingly annoying. It sounded like we were sitting in an industrial fridge-freezer! There's no meal deal to save money. The soda is expensive and don't buy the ginger beer! Its just something they crush and mix into soda water. It's not nice. There restaurant is nice, and the food is quick and tasty, but there are a few fundamental issues with the place. Sorry but I'm not coming back.

This Burger has a confit mushroom on it as well as a medium rare beef patty (like a Burger patty should be cooked). It did have raw white onion on it, which is a bit unusual for a Burger joint like this. The special sauce was pretty special.

I really enjoyed the Australian burger, which was beautifully presented and made with noticeable fresh ingredients. The burger was delicious although a bit on the pricey side - however, I'm paying for fresher quality ingredients which are sourced daily, and I'm supporting hardworking local Aussie growers & suppliers as well. The staff were pleasant and I suspect with more experience they will learn to interactive with their customers more. The chocolate milk shake was my only disappointment. It's not the usual cold frothy milky version we know, love and expect. The incredibly rich chocolate flavour strongly overpowered the taste of my meal. For me, a milkshake should refresh and complement the burger & fries. Maybe they might try refining their milkshake recipe? HOWEVER, my milkshake fail is a small issue, I will definitely go back again, as the burgers are succulent and delicious, the ingredients are fresh, locally sourced and the Burger Project location is absolutely BRILLIANT - @ South Bank train station. With time and experience this place will find its natural groove!

Burger was fine; nice patty, fresh bun, although the bacon was a little undercooked and chewy. Shake had great flavour but the straws aren't really capable of handling the thickness. The atmosphere is a little strange with the buzzers and tight space. Not quite what I expected from the way it has been promoted. There are plenty of places doing equal or better food with better service for similar prices.
