Sakura Sushi

Used to live across the road from this place and miss my old home mainly for this. Closed between lunch and dinner so you know and taste the sushi is fresh. Amazing takoyaki, sushi and hot bowls. Don't see how people can complain about prices,, around $13 for a hot bowl is a deal with varying but always generous portion sizes. Lovely family run business and I hope many people continue to support this family run business as they are hard workers and produce great food I regularly treated my house guests to.

I love this restaurant! The lovely staff are so nice to customers, and the food has become a regular in our household. We love the karaage donburi, chicken fantastic, rainbow salmon and pork buns (always succulent!), but there’s so much more to choose from. Looking forward to being a regular at Sakura. Thank you very much for the great food.

A cat figurine greets you and tells Sue and the staff you have arrived. Sue has been making Sukura Sushi a neighbourhood favourite for about 18 years, and she always offers great sushi, a huge variety (including vegetarian selections), and friendly service. The little train has done some kms as it circles round to bring you tasty treats. Meals are prepared in front of you, and Sue (or one of the team) always check if you want something from the menu. The free sweets available when you go to pay at the aren't the only sweet thing that will keep you coming back.

We “USE TO!” Love this place, however after attending recently, we found that I guess due to hard times? They’ve watered down the soya- sauce, and brought a very low quality wasabi paste that’s more likened to a mild bean paste. I though I must’ve had Covid after putting 6 sachets of wasabi in with my soy -water and I couldn’t taste it! I will say that the sushi is nice, but just if you’re going? Bring your own condiments! Please if you’re the owner reading this? Take heed! Quality is what keeps people coming back! I’ll now never return.
