Wonder Fish

Whilst the food is consistently good, the disappointment lies in the inconsistent closing time. Don't try calling them just before 7:30pm because they refuse to answer the phone, even though their advertised closing time is 8pm. When I called 3 times at 7:25pm, thinking they must be busy when they didn't answer the phone, so we drove there to find they were definitely open, with people dining outside. I was told that they were closed because patronage had been slow and that the kitchen was closed. If they had of answered the phone when I called, our meal would have been ready by the time we arrived, and not forgetting, they still had diners who had not yet finished their meals. This is on a Saturday night, so I feel they pulled the pin too early. Not everyone are early eaters. This has happened several times to us, for the last time and they have now lost our business. Thank goodness Salt & Vinegar in Corinda adhere to their 8pm closing time, because they pick up the patronage of the ones Wonder Fish refuse to serve.

I’m on the hunt for the best fish & chip shop in my area. This is a nice little shop in Graceville. The chips were very nice, lightly salted & crispy. Calamari was very well crumbed but a bit hard & chewy, still nice though. The let down was the very bland potato scollops (had no flavour & no salt). All up, I’m happy to score it 4* well worth to check out.
