Good Taste Chinese Restaurant

Found out about this place thanks to friends who got takeaway from there when we visited. Seems like an old school Chinese joint that you could easily miss if you didn't know where to look. Food wise it was mostly pretty good - decent portion and great taste. The Shandong chicken was a bit dry, though our friends (regular customers) say it's usually better.

Thought we treat ourselves to some good ol' Chinese take away. We chose the family pack for $55 which included spring rolls which were delicious, big and crunchy however no sweet chili sauce included. It also came with pork ribs in plum sauce, mediocre in taste, too much bones. Chicken satay, runny watery sauce and also bland in taste. Beef in black bean sauce which was delicious just like you would have it any other day. Good pack of rice with little prawns, very tasty. Unfortunately we both felt miserable after eating, and the next day too. Me and my partner had food poisoning. Both diarrhea and feeling unwell. My partner was even affected the third day by feeling very seedy and nausea. Due to this experience we would not order again, nor would we recommend this place to others.

It's a chinese restaurant for people who appreciate Chinese food. Must need to know what to order, otherwise you may not like it. So far I have tried a few of their chef recommended dishes, all are delicious and yummy. They close on Monday, Tuesday and public holiday. Reservations are recommended if going on weekend as they are always crowded on weekends. Personally I find the price is a bit dear on the chinese menu but taste better.

Friday night 6.30pm ordered in store had a wait time of an hour for takeout. 2 mains 2 rice and a serve of wontons. The wontons were cold, the rice was luke warm, 1 main was warm and the other was hot. The restaurant was fairly busy at the time so expected a bit of a wait but an hour is more than I bargained for. I was pretty hungry so the food was okay, obviously would of been nicer hot. The experience would of been made better if front of house communicated the wait time before purchase.
