Welcome To Bowen Hills

Nice space, behind the Bavarian. The garlicky edamame were great, a generous serve. Pleasantly surprised to order the Tiger beer special and receive a pint rather than a schooner. Also had the hot and wet wings, and while the coating and sauce were excellent, the skin underneath was flabby and gross. The meat was really juicy, not what you expect with wings, almost like it was undercooked. Perhaps brined?

Edamame with garlic was a first for me and is an amazing combo. The edamame itself was just a bit undercooked. The sashimi was very fresh but was cut a bit too thick. Also didn't come with soy sauce which we had to ask for. The salmon nigiri (not pictured) was very delicious - would definitely be my go to choice here. Overall a pretty nice dinner!

The atmosphere without the pinball machines etc is completely different. Boring vibe. Very disappointing, not sure what the new owners were thinking. The games is what made Welcome to Bowen Hills different. Food was average too, after being there multiple times we won’t be back. When the Beerhaus is packed & your place is empty, that should tell you something.

Lots of potential, a really great place - a live band playing there was other games like ping pong to keep people entertained while they drank one of the many, many (about 40) different beers on tap. The food was really good too, a much higher standard than your usual pub meals. Really nice atmosphere to boot so it all made combined to make this a really good experience. A very nice place to relax with a beer you've never had before while you eat a really well prepared meal. Gives me hope for other places around Brisbane.

Recently attended Space & Co on a Wednesday night for trivia. Our group of five loved it! It had a really chill vibe, which was perfect for a weeknight get together. The layout was spacious and open, with lots of quirky decor. The food was excellent too and the bar had some really unusual cocktail combos. Staff were wonderful and friendly. It's a great spot!
