Johnny Rockets

The burgers buns are nice and soft but a bit oily for my liking. Got large onion rings for $8 and was a large serving, the crisps is nice but only half battered through the rings, same thing very oily therefore couldn't eat too much of it. Would say it's a normal burger joint, would be good if they had package deals with burger+drink+sides.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is now ruined. Was so excited to eat here when my partner as he said that they have tasty simple food. Both of us were starving as we eaten all day. But when the food came out all of it was cold. We opted to eat it because we were starving and didn’t want to even bother anymore. Burger bun wasn’t toasted, onion rings were just soggy onions with no batter and the fries were room temperature like they sat on the pass for awhile. The only good thing about our meals were the chocolate shake and Canada Dry I had.

Burgers, onion rings and malt shake tasted great! The Buffalo wings unfortunately were on the saltier side, even saltier with the blue cheese dip. I also remember being the burgers/buns being larger before. Went in for a late lunch and the restaurant environment required some cleaning (tables and toilets etc.)

Update: still amazing, have tried more of their menu and can confirm their chicken tenders and any of their chips are bomb. Needed a late night snack and ordered the full house, which has fries, cheese, bacon pieces, onion rings, fried pickles and cheese sauce. Hit the spot, there's much else to say, you can't go wrong with fried food and cheese sauce.

We had a great first experience here with staff being extremely friendly and accomodating. Portion sizes are surprisingly generous, especially for the pricing. The milkshakes were amazing and again great value. Philly cheese steak was a little tough and salty but they can be at times. The tater tot nachos were great but a little soggy which in fairness is hard to avoid when they are loaded with chilli. We will definitely be back.

Food was good value as we used our eat club voucher but big props to the young lady who served us (sorry couldn’t see a name badge to get your name) she was absolutely amazing! Having lived in Australia for going on 15 years now I have come to learn that customer service here is pretty average to be honest but this lady was a superstar! Very friendly and engaging and very attentive! Would come back just for the service :)

Not as kitsch or retro as the previous iteration of Johnny Rockets. I miss the dancing and the jukebox. What I will say is that, the burgers and fries are tasty which is all I need really. Johnny Rockets Australia has maintained the American taste. In a crowded burger market in Brisbane, this place is underrated, but consistently good. @tinmanfromAus
