Burger Urge (george Street)

I just came here with a group of Vegan friends and we were so happy and so impressed with the amazing vegan menu and the fact that they didn't cross contaminate the food. Thank you so much for looking after us all. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and I will definitely return. Thank you for catering for Vegans ❤️ I had the vegan cheeseburger and fries (that are cooked only with vegan items) and the vegan burger sauce. Sooo delicious 😋

Nice burger place with a great layout and nice seating, near the very inner city and easy to get to. The food itself is good and sometimes great, though the burger themselves tend to be on the smaller size. They are also priced at slightly above market price at the time of this review. However, the flavour of the food is good, with ample seasoning. The fries are cooked fairly freshly, though it’s pretty obvious that they were recently thawed. I would suggest to add salt and pepper to the tables, and to continue to ensure that the burgers themselves (they are mostly American style) do not become too sweetened, as is the overwhelming trend at this level of burger restaurant.

It's a bird. It's a plane. It's Memphis Tennis Club by Burger Urge! Actually I'm not sure whether this venue is meant to have a Bruce Banner / the Hulk dual personality or some kind of mashup like Professor Hulk. In either case it was pretty busy when we went and it took a while before we could place an order. Food came out in about 15 minutes which wasn’t too bad. My order: * Byron Chic, $11.9 - grilled chicken, avocado, rocket, red onion, tomato, harissa mayo & aioli on a wholemeal bun I found it interesting that at 1910kJ, this is 17%-33% lower than all the grilled chicken burger options at another chain that markets themselves as having healthy burgers. Anyways, kJ aside, the overall taste was fairly good, though I didn’t love the wholemeal bun. Nevertheless I wanted to feel like I was making a healthier/lighter choice for lunch because I knew I’d be eating out again for dinner where such choices aren’t so readily available 😛

New York Burger. Burger Urge generally serves up a tasty burger but the bun and toppings were average and overwhelmed the burger as the burger was small compared to bun. Burger itself was tasty. Sweet BBQ sauce was nice. Pricey sides for the serving size and dips are extra cost. Dips weren't brought to the table with meal and had to go get them. Server wanted to charge us again but apologised. Recommend that you keep your receipt. Overall the experience sitting outside wasn't good with the taxi stand drivers smoking just adjacent to the outdoor tables at this location. Service was average. Update... BU management contacted me and apologised for the experience amd offered a free redo. I haven't taken then up on the offer, but I have to say at least they are being responsive and seem to want to make things better.

Burgers made up for the absolute shocking front counter service. Poor guy struggled with the most basic of questions, what time is the lunch special, what is the lunch special etc. We ended up walking out the front and reading the signage ourselves. Very frustrating but as I stated the burger was pretty good so made up for it... Just not sure I'll be back anytime soon.
