Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill

This came up on my review suggestions and although I haven’t been in a while, I now remember why. I used to love Mad Mex, it has tasty TexMex fast food. My go to was the Tacos. But the last few times I went to the Queensplaza I was disappointed with the size of the servings of meat in my tacos and with the overall end product. Yes, after all these months I still remember how unappetizing my meal was. So I didn’t go back. Hope it improved since I last went. Might give it another go sometime in the future.

The service is okay and the food is tasty. Also the person didn't understand when I asked for dairy free and even asked if I would like sour cream and cheese. Their serving sizes are small and disproportionate. I had to pay and extra 2 dollars for guacamole which is an outrage as you only get a tiny portion. Also you get too many chips and not enough meat.

Went to mad mex in Queen Street ,Brisbane today and paid $27 for two meals which consisted mainly of lettuce. If we had not put cheese and chicken on it we would have been eating mostly lettuce and a little bit of chopped tomato. We were surprised that we had to pay extra for a few pieces of "chicken",when we were asked if we wanted chicken or some other item on the salad as we thought that it was part of the meal. The salad did not even resemble the one on the shop board. Worst experience we have had and will not be eating mad mex again. Not worth the money.

The flavours were okay but the burrito I got was inedible. I understand burritos can be messy, but when I opened the foil the outside of the burrito was covered in black bean juice and therefore soaked, it wasn't wrapped properly so it fell apart and I ended up having to eat it with a fork looking like an idiot.

Very underwhelming and dissapointing. Ordered a naked vegetarian burrito, for lunch today (2 July) I received a small amount of medium salsa, not enough for the amount of rice and lettuce loaded in to the bowl. I had to pay $2 extra for guacomole which also was a small helping. $2 for a tea spoon scoop of Guac that also was pretty flavourless. I added jalapeno chillies for a salty spicy flavour and they were dry. Would never waste my money here again. Paid over $13 for mostly lettuce and rice.
