The Ming Inn

We visited on a Friday night with our family of four after a recommendation from friends. Unfortunately we found the whole experience uninspiring. On a very humid Brisbane night we continued to sweat as the front door is open, letting in both the sticky air and traffic noise from busy Grange Rd. Our three dishes were acceptable but taken straight from 1970's Australian-Chinese fare. Heavy on the sugary sauce. Probably most disappointing was the slow service, despite the fact we were the only patrons for almost all of our visit. We're unlikely to be back for a second experience.

I am rating this on their food as we had take away for the first time visit.The shop is old, but they say the old shops have the better food. They were right. Been looking for some decent Chinese food and finally found some in my area. The prices are not cheap because the competition in Chinese food for the north side is pretty slim. But definitely glad we tried this place. Really happy with my meal. Thanks guys.

Unfortunately the system on the restaurant’s website by which you pay for your online order failed. My order was not received by the restaurant and my PayPal receipt was not accepted by the restaurant. I therefore had to make multiple phone calls to the restaurant and to the intermediary company to no avail. I had to reorder my food and pay again for my meal. What a shame. The food was good but the double payment for our meal and the massive hassle definitely took the shine off our meal and experience.

This is my first time I've tried the ming inns food never again will I order from this restaurant again the sweet and sour pork was dry and so soggy as they put the sauce in with the pork way too much sauce which tasted horrible! The spring rolls weren't even crispy and the beef and ginger was edible but it lacked flavor what a waste of almost 60dollars
