Montague Hotel

Came to this pub for a meal I was very disappointed in my meal. Ordered the seafood basket, for the price I paid it certainly was not worth it. Did not come out with and fresh salad and the intire meal was processed food that came out of a box or a bag. Also had to pay an extra $4 for a side of chips. The service at the pub was great! My friends meal was great! Just very disappointed in my meal as it was not worth the price. What has disappointed me the most is I have contacted the pub to let them know how I feel through a private message, did not hear anything back. So I called the pub and I was told the manger would be in a hours time and would get back to me. Still have not heard from them and that was a few days ago. Not normally one to put complaints in but this time I just honestly felt like I was being ripped off and just wasted my money. To then also not hear anything from them when I was trying to give some private feedback is disappointing on another level.

This is my local. It is such a nice place to unwind. The food is excellent and there is a special most days (kids eat free on Sunday for the parents out there). The staff are attentive without being annoying. When the weather is nice, the outside seating is a beautiful, relaxing space with nice greenery.

I can't recommend this place enough. Myself, my husband and kids visit the Montague on a regular basis for mostly a mid week and weekend lunch or dinner. The meals are on point every-time and the live music is very enjoyable. I am looking forward to a Father's Day Brekkie this weekend with a river walk afterwards. Can't wait!

Met some mates here to watch a basketball game. Bought a $15 pint and then was told last drinks at 8pm, and then shut at 8:30, so we had to leave half way through... The venue is decent inside, but I'd love to shake the owners and ask them what they're thinking. Beyond the fitout, the place has zero personality. We need a decent local, but this ain't it.

Without a doubt the most disappointing pub meal I have ever had. $40 for a “medium rare” entirely bleeding steak with one single potato drowned in oil. Staff brushed it off like it was nothing. Staff should have offered to pay for the meal as it was inedible but no accountability whatsoever. Do not go here!!
