Banneton Patisserie

Cannot fault the pastries at this place! Consistency fresh and delicious - which same goes for their cabinet sandwiches and wraps. Probably my third or fourth time visiting here over the years, but first time ‘dining-in’. Each time is very ‘hit or miss’ with coffees and friendliness of staff. On this occasion my cappuccino was very sour and bitter, and I’ve had this occur one time before as well. I do think it depends on who makes it, so would love to see some consistency! Their other location seems to really hit the mark with their coffees in all aspects and would love if this cafe could be just as reliable. Other than this, would 100% recommend their cinnamon scrolls… so so good!

This is a fabulous bakery and the baguettes are high quality (I lived in Paris above a bakery, so feel confident in making this claim). Garlic focaccia is equally delicious and almond croissants on par with the best in Brisbane. The shining light is the famous Breton speciality, the Kouign Amann. The caramélisation is spot on and the custard centre is always creamy and beautifully complements the solid crust on the bottom. The only issue is they only turn up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday....

The Girls at Banneton Bakery Cafe have welcomed me for years with warmth and conscientious care that truly makes me feel like I have a group of coffee nymphs to help me feel more Goddess-like than ever. Who needs a spa when your morning latte is filled with graceful customer service like this! I bring my children here for quality talk time, or I come along to write and be inspired by the array of community connections and spirit that has been fostered by the Banneton girls. Other regulars would agree - and I direct new comers here often. It’s not just a coffee after all... it’s a feel-good moment for yourself 💗💫💫 Try the croissants 🥐 just like the Parisian ones! Oh and the hot cross buns are definitely a promise worth taking home... if they last that long 😜 The Quiche is a joy to munch on at lunch and the Turkish sandwiches are worth it to fill you up all day. The sour dough might be the most famous for it’s gut-loving benefits and indulgent taste (we buy weekly). Get in before their closing hours so you don’t miss out - they sell out often.

Most disappointed with our experience today. After ordering 2 coffees we waited and waited and then noticed the barista was standing near a table chatting with people who were obviously friends, we had to go into the shop and complain and when the coffees eventually arrived they were not hot especially on a cold day like today.

This is honestly I think the best bread in Brisbane and absolutely takes a dump on other overhyped places like Dannys and Flour and Chocolate 🤢 The multigrain sourdough is jaw droppingly good. The almonds in there!!!!! Pleeaaase!!! I need to buried with this bread so I can take it to the next life Also the coffee is pretty consistently yum and staff are all hotties
