I really love this venue. Great sports area to dine and drink. There is a nice spacious outdoor eating area. Live music some nights. Perfect for groups wanting knock off drinks or dinner. The food has always been decent. The lamb shanks are really tasty, the pork burger with mac n cheese is worth a try and all the pizzas are really great. The staff and security have always been amazing.

Nice venue with high ceilings, feels very spacious inside. I especially like the restaurant part, although it can get quite cool in there. A bit pricey but great presentation. Basically, it's fancy pub food.

BBQ Pork rips $39. The fried caramarie $18.
Reasonable price. Nice; clean and comfortable environment. The food is average level.
You will not be disappointed when you dine here, but there are no surprises as well.

Dropped in for a lazy lunch on Sunday afternoon. Ordered steak & chips/salad with a couple of sides (Salt & Pepper Calamari and Snapper/Prawn Spring Rolls) Really enjoyed the meal. Was very impressed with the side salad, so many times I've picked out rotten rocket leaves or oxidised lettuce at other venues but the salad here was nice and fresh. Please tell me what the orange coloured vegetable was in the garden salad was, I like it, I just don't know what it is. Calamari was well seasoned and cooked perfectly, Snapper/Prawn Spring Rolls are the best spring rolls I've ordered in Brisbane, brilliant combination of ingredients and the tangy sweet sauce compliments it well. Will definitely come back.

We have heard good things and FINALLY got around to trying the Pig n Whistle, but very disappointed, would not have minded the 45 wait for the expensive food if it didn't come dried out and over salted. Ordered drinks which couldn't hold us over because the cocktails alone are $18 or $21 to start, and food was the $29 over-sauced and salty chicken parmi plus $9 driest warmed side of mac and cheese ever made, very sad as I was looking forward to a nice creamy, piping hot mac but it looked to be a single serve of Kraft bought from Coles and popped in a microwave and not a 45-minute long wait side of mac. Had not seen the reviews for the restaurant until we had this experience, will be going elsewhere for nights out.

I had the chicken w/Japanese mayonnaise, Garlic bread with Welsh rarebit & pork ribs.
Chicken was ok!
I love garlic bread!!!
This one not so much, I don't even know what rarebit is but it just wasn't right.
Pork ribs were very bland like they had been cooked too quick or not marinated long enough & didn't absorb the flavour of the sauce which looked like cheap shop bought sauce & I probably ate 1 full rib in total.
Took it home to my wife & she agreed hers are 10 times better.
Service was friendly & accommodating letting our party change tables.

If I'm being honest, I'm not going to be going back to a Pig n Whistle after this experience.
I'm not mad at the staff, because I can tell when a restaurant is underpaying and overworking their staff. It was obvious in this experience that the staff hated working there and were overwhelmed even with a very low amount of customers.
We booked an 8 person table with special arrangements for a cake and when we each arrived for the reservation no one made eye contact with us, we had to get the attention of staff over and over again, it was a special occasion that only happens once in a while, and this put a significant low mood across the table. Strangely enough the cocktail I had was awful, very watery.
The food was alright, well presented and fresh, and i believe staff did the best they could in an environment which is clearly oppressive. But if I could go back I would have gone to a different venue.
