Cafe 63

The menu is very extensive, every variation of every breakfast you can think of. Food was delicious and portion size was too big for me to finish. Juice was served in a metal large cup and stayed so cold for the entire time. Prices were very reasonable, usually breakfast for 2 would cost me about $50 and this was $36. I'll definitely be back and Cafe 63 might be my new regular Cafe.

We love Cafe 63, but this store is not up to scratch and offers a disappointing dining experience, and store-room like ambiance. Felt like a CHEAP KNOCKOFF of the 63 brand cafe. Expect very little from this store. The ambiance is cheap and unsightly with storage boxes and even a vacuum cleaners stored on the selves of the front dining area. See photo of storage, stained boxes on shelving in DINING area!!! Cafe area looked unkept and in need of general clean. The service was bare minimum and dismal, even though there were 3 staff members and only 4 patrons dining at the cafe at the time. I think 63’s HEAD OFFICE SHOULD STEP IN and insist that the quality of service, food and interior reflect the brand quality of that of other branches, like Chermside. We ordered two bread and dip plates and the dips came In babycino paper cups! The second plate of toasted bread was burnt. Sandgate could do with a lovely cafe 63, but it seems that in this case this franchise branch has chosen to completely misunderstand the usual ‘63’ dining excellent experience by offering such a half-hearted attempt. We will not be returning to this cafe 63!

Had a family lunch there today. Staff were lovely but the manager on this day should be made aware of rules for Assistance Dogs. After showing coated small dogs credentials on phone I was told we could not sit inside at the table we had booked. This is the first time EVER we have been made to sit outside at the numerous restaurants and cafes we have frequented. It was embarrassing and I hate sitting on footpaths to have a meal. Anyway she would not bend so we sat outside with the flies, pedestrians and traffic fumes as it was to inconvenient to try to find another cafe because we were parked near and would have been too big a walk. So cafe 63 at Sandgate will never get my patronage again and I also would advise the franchisee to smarten up their decore as it is very grotty looking. Staff need to be educated on rules for legal assistance dogs.

I would have given 4 stars because food and drink was good. However, after I paid and left my wife checked the receipt in the car and noticed there was items on receipt that didn't belong to our table. It's not alot of money so I'm not going to turn around and go back to question. I suggest you invest more time in training your staff to count properly because if I happened to us how many others did or is it happening too? For example at $5 or 10 extra charged per transaction, x10 per day = $50 to 100 total per day x 7 days = $350 - 700per week x52 weeks = $18k to $36k per year that you earn from accidenly over charging customers.
