Yellow Saigon

This is a very popular lunch place in the the food court of the MacArthur Chambers building. While most of the lunch places in the food court are grab and go, I found out why so many people are happy to stand around and wait a few minutes for their lunch here - it's worth it! I had a lemongrass chicken banh mi roll and it was fresh and tasty. The roll was crispy outside, soft inside and the generous serving of chicken was moist and flavoursome. Service was quick and friendly and prices are reasonable. There is plenty of seating in the food court, which is clean, has plenty of natural light and overlooks Queen Street.

Egg bacon and fried rice dish, rice was quite hard. Egg was pictured as sunny side up/ fried but appears to be microwaved and therefore no yoke like you'd expect from a traditional Asian meal, certainly not like the picture would suggest. The salad provided was a surprise but not a welcome one as it tasted dry and old. Staff were polite and friendly. I think maybe I caught them at a bad time but they need to keep better control over their food standards or they will go broke from bad reviews. Sorry guys, please do better next time.
