Bella's Pizza

There's no sign when you enter so we were waiting to be seated for dinner while others were approaching the counter to order. Finally, another customer who saw us waiting explained this is not a table service restaurant & that everyone has to order & pay at the counter before seating themselves & getting their own drinks. Not that we were in a rush, but it would have been nice to know what we were supposed to do instead of standing off to the side waiting while 3 other groups ordered ahead of us. The man at the counter took our order & we selected & obtained our beverages from the drink machines & found a table. The wings & tuna sub came out first - delivered to the table by the person who had taken our order at the counter. He had already forgotten what dipping sauce we requested for the wings! The wings were rather small & completely drowned in buffalo sauce making the breading mushy & crumbly. The buffalo sauce was so strong with vinegar that the aroma actually burned my nose. I just skipped them altogether, but I was told the actual chicken meat on the wings was mushy for some reason. The tuna sub was THE BOMB!!! (Thank you to the person who mentioned they had the best tuna sub around in their review!) The bread was toasted on a flat-top with a wonderful flavor & crunch added to the sandwich as a result. The tuna salad itself was fresh & had the perfect quantities of tuna, add-ins & mayo. My date, who was shocked when I ordered the tuna sub, was even more shocked at how delicious it was & actually ended up eating a whole section of it. We also ordered a medium veggie pizza - the only way you can get close to a white pizza. The veggie pizza came with ricotta, green peppers, mushrooms & tomatoes & we added capicola. When the first slice was lifted out of the pie, the bottom appeared quite wet. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not a bit soggy & was in fact, AMAZING!!! The flavor & consistency of the crust was wonderful & the toppings were fresh & cooked beautifully. Now that I know how it works & have tried their outstanding food, I will definitely be back!

Took wife's ex-MIL out for birthday lunch. She has loved Bella's for a long time. After just a short wait we ordered at the counter, paid, and grabbed seats. My wife had the julienne salad, chocked full of greens and other salad favorites, and had little to say after we decided it was okay for her to proceed before we got our pizzas. She smiled a lot so that told me she enjoyed it immensely. My and MIL's pizza followed without a long wait...just right for a well cooked pizza. We both had the pizza that let's you select 5 ingredients of your choice. Both were well prepared, ample ingredients, tasty, cooked perfectly. The beer is cold, with several choices. We had a wonderful lunch, with nothing left but crumbs to show for our immense culinary pleasure. Bella's can be an excellent lunch drop in, or an excellent spot for a casual dinner. While I didn't try their sandwiches, a couple of very hungry fellows just across from us appeared to derive a great deal of pleasure. They looked huge and tasty. I made a note to self that next time back there, one of their sandwiches would be on my plate. With moderate pricing, casual atmosphere, and friendly, efficient staff, Bella's should be on your "go to" list for pizza, sandwiches, or just nice dining.
