We didn’t have a reservation but the waitress was kind enough to let us sit at a high top to eat. We had the Sunday roast beef and roast chicken with all the sides. Wow…it was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and very flavorful. The veggies were particularly well seasoned.
We then had rhubarb crunch and sticky toffee pudding and it was absolutely delicious as well.
Excellent service by the bar staff who checked on us several times.
Roast dinner was delicious I had the vegetarian option which was so tasty and my partner had the pork which he said was great. Quick service and very friendly staff. A lovely pub 😊
Popped in here one lunch time for food, the staff were very welcoming. The menu had some great options, I settled on the loaded fries with cheese, jalapenos, sauce, cream and BBQ pulled pork. The food my colleagues had looked great too and we all enjoyed it... Great pub with nice layout inside too, everything was perfect!!
Another well spent Sunday in another lovely pub on an autumn afternoon. Amazing pub, service is very friendly. The pub was packed so is obviously a popular place.
The roast itself was very nice, had the pork belly which was nice and tender, crackling was delicious as well. Special mention to the Yorkshire pudding, gravy, carrots and cauliflower cheese. Roast potatoes were ok, nothing special.
Good overall roast dinner, beef was melt in the mouth with nice veggies.
My only little niggle was the roast potatoes weren't quite cooked enough and not crispy or fluffy outside. Nice pint of Neckoil and good overall service. Recommended.
The Knowle was an awesome experience, went to meet some friends. First thing we were greeted by friendly staff at the bar who showed us to our table, I'd asked if we could have a table close to the toilet which they were happy to do, although there was a little step into the pub a stick user and wheelchair person could get in but warn them in advance as it can get crowded. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was excellent. The prices were on par with what I expected for dine in table service. It was a great time had.. Thank you The Knowle! 👍
This is my favourite pub, menu is seasonal and currently for summer they have pizzas being made in the garden kitchen. Drinks are reasonable, plenty of choice & accept blue light card! Every evening is full, which shows how popular it is.
Lovely dog friendly pub. We came for a Sunday roast and it was tasty. The roast potatoes weren't the best - they were missing the crispiness and fluffy inside, but still enjoyable. Lovely giant Yorkshires! I had the nut roast and a sticky toffee pudding, which was delicious. Books and toys available for children, which was a nice touch. Only missing a star as we waited a lot between serving. It wasn't busy, but it took about 15 minutes for someone to come back and take our dessert order and noone came back to take payment of the bill for 20 minutes, so we ended up going up to the bar. Would recommend for all dog owners who want a yummy roast in a relaxed, comfortable setting.
Absolutely incredible service! Staff were all friendly and fun to be around and talk to! Has to be the highest quality food I've ever had too! All in all, best pub experience I've received yet! 100% recommend!
Lovely food. Limited Sunday lunch choices but artfully presented and tastes like it should. Pork or beef roasts are shown in the pictures. Beef shredded in the Yorkshire tasted divine.
