Excellent Sunday roast + selection of craft beers. Friendly service, nice atmosphere
Just my kind of pub. Craft beer, pool table and live music. Need I say more. Try a pint of FI, excellent on draft
The best Sunday roast in the village, hands down. Also available, a good selection of local craft brews to pair with it.

Immediately, Nettle and Rye stands out as an attractive pub. We came here on a Sunday afternoon, and although we didn’t eat Sunday lunch, from how it looked on others’ plates, it was delicious, and for £12, quite reasonable by the looks of it.
They have a great beer selection, but I wouldn’t say it was cheap.
The interior design is lovely, and the gas fire in one corner adds coziness to the entire feel.
Staff were friendly, and the outside seating area, despite being on a road, wasn’t bad in the sun.
Overall, great pub, can’t find a reason to give it less than 5 stars!
Great pub with even better staff! We were in on a lazy Monday with few patrons but the bartender couldn't have been more accommodating, we got to play darts and shuffleboard whilst sampling some amazing local beers, ales, and ciders.
Highly recommended.
We went for a Sunday roast and it was delicious. Very tasty, generous portions and not much overpriced. Cons: waited 15mins to get my ordered placed and another 15-20 just to get a drink. Also every time someone went in and out of the restaurant you could feel the air. They could avoid that by closing the external doors.
Awesome beer selection, reasonable prices. Popcorn chicken was a great nibble with a beer.
We had our staff party at Nettle and Rye yesterday evening and had our own private room upstairs. They couldn’t have been more accommodating!!! The bar team were always on hand to help with whatever we needed and helped us set up the space. Great drinks at very reasonable prices and they are soon to launch what sounds like an amazing new food menu. The Head chef was such a friendly and lovely guy and you could see his passion for food! Please everyone check out their new menu or just pop by for a drink in a lovely cosy bar with pool table and shuffle board.... and a really friendly team!!! Thanks so much guys for helping us create a really memorable night for our team!
I worked with Mike to book out the top floor for a works Christmas do. It couldn't have gone any better. They were able to feed 20 within a reasonable time frame, staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. The top floor has enough space for about 30 although I expect food will come out a little more sporadically at 20+.
The top floor has an excellently maintained Shuffleboard which was a massive hit as well as a pool table and darts board. Friendly place with a great atmosphere.
Good pub with decent selection of rotating craft beers, spirits, ciders etc. Good food at a reasonable price. Staff are friendly and nice. Quite a decent “games” selection from shuffle and pool to board games. Nice airy interior.
