Delicious Sunday lunch- best roast dinner I’ve had in Bristol. Starters of whitebait and pork cheeks elevated this to excellent. Well priced and great atmosphere with brilliant service. Will return!
We stopped by for lunch today - the menu had small plates and also large plates to choose from. They were doing lunch offer of 2 small plates and a glass of house wine / pint of wye valley pale ale for just £18 - incredible value.

In my personal opinion, the team here at The Clifton have absolutely nailed what a pub should be. I visited consecutively over two days, once for lunch and once for dinner- The place is bright, clean, and has a wonderful atmosphere when quite and also when busy. The food was nothing but outstanding.
We had a beautiful evening there, food was delicious, simple, comforting and absolutely delicious! Cooked to very high standards, and proper quality ingredients.

Such a great atmosphere in here. Came for a roast on Sunday and food was really nice - not outstanding but definitely exactly what we needed on this Sunday. Yorkshires were outstanding however! Cosy and vibrant interior. Would definitely recommend.

On a crowded, summer Sunday in Clifton, the staff here were friendly and welcoming when other pubs dismissed us rudely at the door. The roast chicken dinner was excellent and a gigantic portion to boot. We sat in the window and watched the crowds walk by. Highly recommended.
