The Colosseum - Bristol - Photo album

Best hop to it if you want to visit the cheapest pub in Bristol City Centre. It'll be closing soon as the owners are selling up. No real ale but dart boards and pool tables and 2 pints of Jewel nitrokeg less than £7. Kronenbourg just over £4 a pint. Decor is reminiscent of a Butlins from 1989 but
Bloody loved it in here. Looks untouched from about the '80s. Great mix of people young and old. Friendly bar staff, 2 pool tables and a darts board. Shame owner is retiring/ selling up. Hopefully new owner retains the character and just spruces it up a bit.
As long as you arrive with the right expectations this is a great pub. But dated, but that's part of its charm. Proper looking pub inside. On top of that, you can expect a warm welcome and an absolutely cracking roast dinner!
A typical city bar with a traditional feel of the English modesty. Good beer, nice ale, very pocket friendly.
went in for Sunday lunch just in time to get a table. it seems this pub is quite popular, many tables were already reserved. so we were lucky to get an open one. we had a choice of roasts,my wife had beef and I had pork. the meal was great, well cooked and flavoursome. really enjoyed it
Definitely the best vibes to a pub in this area, always feel welcome, last time I was here they didn't do food because of the Rona. Food is back on, and looks banging. I just drank a dry cider. Because all the weirdos round here prefer to drink sugar water, and it's a genuine joy to see a dry on off
I love places like this. Is a mix between a greasy spoon and a pub. Brilliant. Very affordable prices and there are bar games to play as well.
Called in with friends for one drink after work, was pleasantly surprised! Price's were reasonable and staff very friendly, will definitely be going back!
First visit today and very pleased with the cost of drinks, and the menu looks enjoyable and also a reasonable price. There is also two outdoor areas for food and drink. If you are in the Redcliffe area then give it a try ,👍🍺🍷
We had a lovely breakfast two days in a row here. Lovely staff and great service. They have vegan and veggie options as well.
This is a fantastic pub. We have been here a few times. We are staying in the hotel next door. The prices for drinks is great and the food is outstanding. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The regulars are friendly. It's a pity there aren't more pubs like this in the UK. We had a great time h
Used to drink here a lot when I was younger, have recently come back with my Girlfriend, great food, great prices, top staff, and friendly locals... A belting boozer!
Excellent veggie breakfast, not slimy or greasy, got fried bread and mushrooms. Best in the City. Great value, nice venue and friendly staff. Even had 3 violinists practising in the next room.
Good food for a decent price. We came here on a monday evening and it's was pretty quiet besides locals playing darts. Service was very good and they were friendly. Nice lady was doing everything by herself in the kitchen, son was doing the bar, much respect for this family business.
Great ‘old school’ venue. Unchanged in style and character in a good way. Full of friendly locals. Go here for unbelievable value, no nonsense food and booze. It’s not fancy or hipster but you’ll get a full breakfast for next to nothing and uncompromising quality service from genuine human beings.
Good location . Enjoy 🍺 and reasonable price
Great local pub made to feel welcome
