Wide selection of drinks, including local ales. Excellent menu choice (vegetarian). Can get busy on weekends, especially when City are playing at home but always seem to be able to get a table due to its large capacity. Away supporters appear welcome too on match days.
The centre of Southville. A great bar serving a great range of local and international beers plus fabulous vegetarian food. Very buzzy and trendy while also accessible and down to earth. Lots of quiet corners to hide away if you need a break from the excitement
Very calm and quiet, took my dad here for a meal as he was visiting me in Bristol, decided on Tobacco Factory as heard a lot about it, was surprised it was a vegetarian cafe as I’m a mighty meat eater but my dad didn’t mind and the food was great! Drinks also really good, made a good day out with my dad even more fantastic. Great atmosphere too
Enjoyed the tobacco factories breafast bun and vegetarian breakfast in the outside terrace :)! Felt very safe and the pricing was quite affordable with the bun being about £5! I love that the products are almost all locally sourced and loved that they make their own ketchup and mayoneise as well :) The staff members were lovely and they catered well on my friend who was vegan. Having some vegan breakfast menus will be further better but it was lovely that they were able to make it. The outside space was lovely and felt very covid safe. Food arrived quick and coffee was nice as well. Further having some information on the coffees could be even better.
The farm shop downstairs was really versatile with so many eco friendly and locally sources items :)! Especially loved the plants selections and the vegetable aisles as well. Recommend this place :)!
Nice busy atmosphere which I liked.
A lot of different options means you don’t miss the meat, imo.
That said, food was what you pay for, cheap and average, could have done with a little bit of seasoning but it did the job. :)
Teas and coffees came in grubby cups which was a little sad. Just make sure your cups and plates are clean, please folks! It’s gross getting plates with old food on. :(
Great place in a really cool area of Bristol with a lot of murals.
Very chill and cozy place to grab a few drinks and have great food. Menu offers a wide range of vegetarian options that are absolutely excellent. Can totally recommend the falalel burger or the huevos rancheros.
Staff was really friendly
Really nice atmosphere, very popular in the evenings and at weekends. If planning on going for dinner then definitely worth reserving ahead of time. Hot chocolate was nice and good vegan marshmallows. Friendly staff and good facilities for tap water refills. Comfortable chairs and a range of different seating types to choose from. Books to read by the front door if you are there for a chill time. Definitely going to be spending more time here in future.
Very cool space to have brunch or a drink from local craft ales. Recommend the bubble and squeek with poached eggs on a Sunday
Get there before 11am for a table as it gets busy. Also has theatre shows
Popped in with the toddler for a coffee and a bite to eat - thanks to Covid, you now wait till you're shown to a table, then order both food and drinks via the app. The app sadly didn't work but a server came to take our order - beautiful flat white, nice and strong, and a halloumi, hash brown and chilli mayo brioche which was delicious! The menu is fully vegetarian and vegan, with a nice amount of variety.
A group of friends and I hired The Snug at the Tobacco Factory to watch the Eurovision final. The room was absolutely ideal for a screening party - the screen was very large, almost the full size of one of the walls and the projection and audio were great quality. Abi was very helpful in assisting us with the set up, and the wifi held up to live-streaming (maybe buffered twice, but very briefly!). We couldn't hear any noise from the bar as the room was behind doors and a heavy curtain.
Beyond the facilities, Abi and her team could not have been more accommodating. They were very attentive and kind from start to finish, delivering our food and clearing away empty plates and glasses promptly.
Thank you for such a great experience - I'm sure we'll use the room again!
Overall happy with this spot. Prompt, friendly service, enjoyable atmosphere, and great range of beers. The food was a bit underwhelming, sadly. Chips were slightly underdone, and the mushroom burger was light on flavour. That aside, I'd go back without hesitation.
A South Bristol institution. It was, thanks to the vision of George Ferguson in buying the old tobacco factory building as a punt well before he was mayor, the catalyst for the regeneration of the whole area. It's still the hub of North St, and the place that first made me fall in love with Bristol. Some of the beer is brewed across the road, along with a huge and constantly changing range of guest beers and ciders, and the food is reliable and tasty. Bravely it's all local veggie and vegan, but don't let that put you off, it's really tasty and varied and the kitchen is often still open when others aren't - especially useful on a Monday night. Regular live music and cultural events, along with a farmers' market in the courtyard on the first Sunday of every month. There's a theatre in the same building which is also well worth checking out.
The first impression of a generously proportioned industrial loft/warehouse style is let down by a strong smell if cooking fat when entering.
The space itself is attractive, yet has a whiff of multi use about it, leaving it feel less cohesive than it could.
The food was good, salads tasty, fries crispy but and decent portions. Nothing that would wow from a culinary perspective, but a decent enough place to hang out with friends.
I went to an art show event. A separate room can be hired for the evening. There is also an overhead projector to help create the theme. I enjoyed the evening. The separate room is useful for small parties. There's varied seating..the leather sofas are comfy
Sometimes gets very busy (especially with young families) so can get a little slow bringing food out at peak times, but they have a great menu catering for everyone and the food is reliably really good. They also have the Snug which is restricted to people over 12 years old for those who are there to work or who need a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere. Great beer selection too.
