Polite staff, reasonably priced drinks, and nicely decorated. It was quite quiet when I visited but there was some good music playing so the pub had a bit of atmosphere. Ideal spot for catching up with a friend or waiting on your train.

Nice pub, haven't visited since it was the engineer and seems to have improved with much nicer decor and furnishing than I remember. Drinks reasonably priced and a very handy departs board. Very nice pub would visit again whilst waiting for my train.

Nice spot, nice people. Love that they use the TV for departures from the station across the road and not sports.

Nice little place for a drink, a wide range of beverages on offer. However the food menu is a bit limited. Apart from that all good and close to templemeads train station, it also has a live departure board in the pub if you are waiting for a train.

Nice little bar, with a few tap's, guy working there was working the bar and the kitchen alone but was doing a great job.

I used to go here a lot before catching a train at Temple Meads, when it was the Reckless Engineer. I've just been there for the first time since it changed. On the whole, you pay a lot more for the same experience, although the clientele used to be a lot more friendly. It's a real shame they changed the name. It will still always be the Reckless Engineer to me.
