Papa Johns Pizza

Coming from India, I was not a huge fan of thick crust pizzas but Papa John's surprised me. Their pizzas were extremely delicious and mouthwatering. We ordered 2 pizzas with half-half different toppings and they were good. We went there thinking we could eat from there but unfortunately only takeout was available. But still, it's a must visit pizza place.

Probably going to gynx this, but despite some of the poor reviews on this page, myself and my partner have NEVER had a bad experience with Papa John's or the staff that work there. Granted, we always order online but the delivery guys are always happy and friendly. Now, on to the food itself. OMG! Best pizza and sides ever! These guys JUST have the edge over Pizza GOGO, but not in terms of price. Papa John's is a bit over expensive but that's why it's an occasional treat. I would highly reccommend these guys. Just stay away from the special garlic sauce. It ain't nice.

The thing is with these places is that unless you're dumb or rich, you wouldn't buy unless you had a voucher. The pricing systems for these places (ie Dominos too) are literally geared for voucher use, so by paying the list price you're just not playing the game properly, which is foolish. The big problem about the Papa particularly is that he doesn't give out so many easy to find or useful vouchers as his competitors making his goods feel somewhat out of reach most of the time. On the other hand, I personally feel the 'healthiest' of all the other fast-pizza chains and these are my 2nd favourite pizza joint in bristol (after Big Bite a couple hundred meters down who charge £8 for 16" which can be customized) but, as I say, I normally can't warrant the cost, so they're not the best. The buttery garlic sauce is to die for though - 'special garlic' I think it's called.
