I would like to thank the Landlord of this pub for being so helpful to me. After a harrowing day spent in Southmead hospital after my wife suffered a stroke I was trying to find a taxi. I went into every takeaway along Southmead Road and was met with rudeness and/or disinterest. This gentleman not only gave me a number but came out to check that I had managed to get a taxi and offered to get one for me if I hadn't. Thank you so much!

I have visited this place about 4 years ago and gave it 3 stars but I went there last night and a much better atmosphere much cleaner a very nice local pub I will go again and recommend it to all a nice change from a few years ago 5 star local pub well done
