I tried the traditional Hong Kong style dish - Braised pork belly with preserved vegetables and rice , the portion is generous, I can’t finish it on lunch time and packed, it tastes good. The brown sugar mill tea tastes plain, like sugar milk instead of tea. Service is average but the wall paintings are beautiful. Price is reasonable. See the menu.
Please pay attention:
1. no card service, only accept cash or transfer money via bank account.
2. No toilet
really lovely place for dimsum - large menu with lots of choices and very reasonable prices! food was super good and staff were really kind! highly recommend would definitely come here again if I’m in Bristol :D (char siu cheung fun was my fav🫶).
Good value and new deco 👍🏻 yummy dim sum and crispy duck rice, Hainan chicken rice 😋 Comfortable environment for a family meal, It’s my new go-to place for dim sum. They are open on Sunday too
Servers dim sum, Cantonese and mainland china dishes. Tried a few plates of each. Massive dim sum portions and very tasty. Same price as London. Had the Dan Dan spicy numbing noodles. Very good. Highly recommend. Make sure you get some tap water to cool the numbness down. Strangely high ceiling in this restaurant. Very spacious. Loads of locals and tourists and students. Fresh jasmine tea leaves in pot. The place could do a bit more on the interior and maybe play some music in the background. Pay upfront at the till then your food is served.
The roast duck was good. I asked for chili oil to eat with the duck and mix with rice, tasted even better!!! They accept cash only.
Whilst walking to the Bristol Museum via Park Street, we spotted some Chinese pastries in the hot display so we stopped by for some snack / desserts after visiting the museum.
My dad was more intrigued with the name of the cafe as my parents are from Sai Kung.
You order at the counter and it's cash only. We ordered egg tarts (蛋撻), char siu pastry (叉燒酥), mango pudding (芒果布甸) and mango sago pudding (楊枝甘露). I've forgotten what's the individual price but it was £19.40 for the four items. Reasonable price. The best points were the flavours and the portion size. We enjoyed the pastries that seemed like they were just out fresh from the oven. Hot, crispy, not too sweet and plentiful of meat filling (for the char siu pastry). Same for the pudding; not too sweet and decent portion size. They were pre-made and stored in a tub in the fridge.
Definitely would stop by again when we visit Bristol in the future.
I personally really like this place! The staff are incredibly friendly and are always delighted to practice speaking Chinese with me and explain details about each dish and really want to make sure I’m happy with everything I order. I’ve had a pretty wide array of dishes and all have been very tasty. It’s a very simple place and I’m giving 5 stars for that combination of very tasty food and excellent, friendly service that keeps me coming back. 謝謝大家!
Beautiful food, amazing and friendly staff with a real authentic feel.
Took my beautiful girlfriend for our late valentine's Day treat. We had dim sum and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
10/10
Very authentic food and delicious. Excellent portion sizes and prices.
Incredibly authentic and delicious and very reasonably priced. I would’ve given 5 stars but we had a vegetarian friend with us and the only veggie savoury option of about 100 dishes was egg rolls - that’s really not great for a Bristol based restaurant.
Luckily they said they could make the Mapo Tofu vegetarian but it was really disappointing.
Lovely food, friendly service. Dumplingd where amazing, very fresh and good value.
The food was good and price reasonable but not the best I’ve had. Would come again.
Popped in for a Sunday snack. Food was delightful. Chicken pork rice. Prawn and crab as well as Prawn and pork dumplings. Great food. Would eat here again. Plenty of food and prices very reasonable.
love this place, got an old Chinese diner vibe. food was otherworldly but homely ❣️
