Cracking pub, great choice of beers, tasters offered before serving, amazing bar staff, quality music played on vinyl. All the good bits of a trendy micropub in a good old fashioned feeling local boozer. Magnificent.

Food wise i can only comment on the Sunday roast potatoes which i believe to be cooked from frozen, but with a bit of gravy and no extra charge; it's a 5/5 from me. Service is second to none, with Elmer himself often manning the pumps; which consist of a wide range of tasty beers from local breweries, and at a reasonable price (often less than a fiver). Patron the dog sometimes makes an appearance, although she is only there to serve up cuddles and good doggo. The atmosphere is always brilliant; the hum of customers all chatting in and around their friends, to the bar staff and to each other. All friendly and all good energy. This is exentuated by a rock, funk & soul music background, often spun up on the decks at just the right volume to enjoy it alongside all other aspects of the pub and people.

Popped in here to catch up with a few old mates. First impression was the relaxed ambience as I walked in. As an ex-publican you get a feel for when something is being done right. Great pint of Timothy Taylor was going down a treat. Sunday afternoons have a DJ playing a top eclectic range of tunes including a Japanese version of Rawhide. The complimentary roasties with gravy [ use the tongs! ] were crispy and fluffy and very moreish. All in all I couldn't have enjoyed an afternoon catching up more. Elmer the landlord is doing a grand job.

Friendly back street boozer on the edge of town. Sells a wide range of local beers. Beers are often 'specialist' so it's not the cheapest place. Close to Old Market so well placed for exploring some of the best pubs and breweries in Bristol.

One of my favourite recent pub discoveries in Bristol. Nice place to sit on a rainy evening. They have some excellent beers, the staff are really friendly and they play good music.

Gotta be one of my fave pubs in the city. Great beers and classic pub atmosphere. The day this pub closes is the day anything good in Bristol dies!

Tiny little pub filled with character - has a darts table and usually playing great music from their vinyl collection. Easily missed as it's tucked away down a side street, but quietly one of the best pubs in Bristol! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Really friendly place. Great beers at a good price. Jamie the owner was unbelievably friendly and welcoming. He even let us behind the bar to look at his vinyl collection which he plays throughout the night on a set of decks be keeps on the counter. Can't recommend enough if you like a pint in a good atmosphere and with good company.
