INCREDIBLE! This place is fantastic! We were in town for a day and a half and ate here twice! We were greeted quickly and kindly and shown to a table right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My partner and I could not get over how delicious the food was and we ordered a lot of dishes! Definitely recommend!

The fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had! And fabulous eggs on the Eggs Royale. Amazing food, lovely coffee, and great atmosphere. Our waiter Connor made the meal even better- charming chap, great at his job, and lovely to talk to. Thanks to Connor and all at the Metropolitan for a fab brunch.
Food was great, so were the cocktails. Our second server was so friendly and attentive which made all the difference, overall had a lovely evening here.
Not sure how to feel about the first fella with the long curly hair tho and the note he left on our receipt 😂 did make us chuckle at the end! We had 50% off so did say that we wanted to try loads of stuff, even if we couldn't eat it all 🤷🏼♀️ (we are in pain but still ate it all)
Best brunch I've had in ages, the Eggs Royale was unforgettable. I've never had trout with Eggs Royale before, I've always been a staunch smoked salmon kinda person, but my mind is now open. We had a delicious bottle of bubbly too, which rounded the whole experience off. Will deserved top rating, keep those incredible brunches coming 🥰
This eatery is one to watch - we will definitely return. Their brunch menu is available until 4pm from which we chose two fantastically cooked dishes. I had the belly pork with pepprcorn sauce, confit potatoes, rocket and oyster mushrooms. My wife had the line caught cod with crab sauce, charred leek and greens. Melt in the mouth, great tasting and plenty for a lunch. We also tried the deserts and these also were first class. Service was good, the restaurant comfortable and cost was very reasonable.
This is definitely the best brunch in Bristol! Me and my partner shared the fried chicken and the ox cheek hash, both were absolutely delicious, lots of really yummy flavours and perfect portion size. We also had some cocktails: kimchi Mary 10/10, lychee daiquiri 10/10 and Mel’s marg 8/10 (was supposed to be spicy but wasn’t very spicy, still delicious though). The drinks and food are priced appropriately for their taste and quality and I would say it’s the perfect place for a birthday or any celebration as opposed to an everyday brunch spot. Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely drinks, will definitely be back again :)

SO impressed by this place! A group of three of us tried pretty much everything on the small plates menu and every dish was so beautifully presented and delicious. The waiter was really attentive and friendly and had good knowledge of the menu. We'll definitely be back for brunch!
We came here for brunch and really enjoyed ourselves. I was firstly really surprised how reasonably priced the dishes were, alongside the coffee.
I ordered the eggs royale and my partner had the kedgeree. Both dishes were amazing, the hollandaise sauce with my eggs royal was buttery and beautiful. The pickled cucumbers in the kedgeree were my favourite.
We paid £38 for two dishes, two coffees each and included tip. I think this is fairly priced if not slightly cheaper than some other places on whiteladies.
Will definitely be back for their evening menu!
Enjoyed our visit, didn’t enjoy my food as much as I’d hoped to but I think that was personal preference rather than there being anything wrong with it as such. My husband really enjoyed his. Nice vibe & friendly staff. Only 1 high chair in the whole place meaning we had to have our baby on our lap. Ok not a place for kids maybe but 1 high chair isn’t sufficient.
The perfect date night! I would recommend sitting at the bar where you can chat to staff. We had a great time chatting to bartender Nathan who clearly had a passion for food and drink. Although the large plates were good, it's the small plates that are particularly special so I would recommend sharing as many of them as you can
The best meal I’ve eaten all year!! Absolutely brilliant. We had the roast, it was insane - a delicious modern twist. Bloody Mary was also great. The miso ice cream is to die for. Our waiter, Connor, was also a dream. 10/10! Looking forward to coming back again very soon!
Very tasty brunch menu, deliciously cooked and presented. We had the Eggs Benedict and the excellent Ox Cheek hash, which balanced the crunch of the hash, the richness of the of cheek, and the refreshing pickled cabbage expertly.
The layout of the restaurant was pleasingly spacious, with a trendy, industrial vibe to the decor. It also has some outdoor space at the back which I imagine would be nice to cool off in during the summer.
Would love to make this a regular brunch place, but it's unfortunately probably a little too expensive to do so too often, coming in at ~£16 per person for our meals (including cappuccinos and service).
We had a lovely meal at the Met. Quite pricey but worth the money. We ate earlier in the evening so not too busy, which may have impacted on the atmosphere but played some great music as background noise so it wasn't obvious that it was quieter. Staff were very attentive and polite, food arrived quickly and was delicious. Thank you for a lovely evening
Went for brunch and we were so impressed. Really interesting menu. Delicious food - generous portions! Loved the atmosphere and the service was really great - very welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to going back to try their evening menu.
The environment is very fancy looking! The staff were very professional and friendly! The food, oh my, was VERY delicious! Had eggs benedict, one of the best I've had, if not the best! Would SO recommend this place! 5 *****
