Had a fab meal whilst waiting for the ferry home. Sat outside in beautiful sunshine enjoying a meal of mussels with a glass of prosecco. The mussels were great, a healthy portion with bread. Service was good and we were made to feel very welcome. A great place to enjoy
Lack of coathangers but even so..what a wee gem of a place.. gorgeous and lovely food.. but it's the staff that make a place so attentive friendly and couldn't do enough to make your stay pleasant. We would return
One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Very friendly and helpful staff, great food, decor and views. It'd be difficult to fault The Douglas. We'd recommend it to anyone.
We have just had a wonderful night at The Douglas. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room had magnificent views and was sumptuous. The bathroom was beautiful. I am still stuffed after the breakfast. What a treat.
Great place rooms are amazing staff are very helpful and the food is awesome!!π And a love the Douglas duck!! Great reminder great wee thing to do!ππ
Excellent service, fantastic menu, dog friendly and delicious food! Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Douglas Hotel, we even struggled to decide what to have so will definitely be returning in January when we have a stay in Arran booked!
We love our room, it's got a huge balcony overlooking the bay and ferry terminal, beautiful views, convenient location, great restaurant and fun fabulous bar....could not be happier with this hotel.....the staff are very good....I've paid more than 5 times the price per night for other hotels around the world and I'd say I prefer The Douglas....would 100% recommend....ππ
Beautiful hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. Food was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend to others. Wouldn't stay anywhere else on Arran!

Had a great one night stay in the Douglas a great welcome as soon as we arrived. Food was excellent and the bar staff made you welcome room was great and breakfast was superb . Overall it is a fantastic hotel

From beautiful, relaxing accommodation to delicious food and fantastic weather (I'm sure you waved your magic wand!) it couldn't have been better. This was an absolutely fabulous venue for our Wedding, so relaxing with friendly, smiley staff who could not do enough for us!
Great family meal (for x9!!) at the drop of a hat with yum food and brill staff!! And NOT expensive either!!
Great food - I had the haddock & chips & my Dad & husband had the burgers. Highly recommend it & the staff were really friendly & efficient.
