Amazing food..well staffed and well looked after.

Tamasha doubles as both a hotel and an Indian restaurant. Being just 20 minutes from home I've never experienced the hotel side and this review is solely on the restaurant. Only been here for formal functions, never simply to have a meal. As such I can't comment on the price of the food, which I would say I find excellent. My wife is not a "spice girl", and the staff, who I cannot praise highly enough do their best to suggest and find a dish which may suit her, some may say, bland pallet. I love the historic photos of India on the walls, which I find fascinating. The wall art in the lavatory (men and women's), is equally interesting and there are notices that it is of an historic adult nature. Very true!
The only criticism I may have us the price of alcohol, but I have found, many quality eataries, which I include Tamasha, price their food reasonably, but sting the customers with the bar bill. My simple remady. Don't drink a lot, as it masks the quality of the food.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying, the food is 5 stars and special in the area. Down the road is a plaza with plenty of stores and a 2 story mall. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service is 5 star they are ready to help you with anything you need! The breakfast is nice too.

A wonderful authentic curry house with friendly staff, extensive menu and great tasting food. The interior is beautifully designed and I could happily while away a few hours looking at their collection of pictures.

We have been going to Tamasha regularly (every Valentine’s Day dinner precisely) since 7 years. Yesterday, we decided to try their non veg thali and I absolutely loved it. It’s worth the price and the portions are good. I’m definitely not a thali person (as I can never finish one) but if you are near Bromley and looking to eat proper Indian food, please try tamasha, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Good food. Good service. Good selection of wine at all price points. Tight portion size. Like the idea of separate bar area to the dinning room. Overall bit pricey.

One of the best Indian restaurants!
I’ve been a customer for over 2 years and I’ve always been happy with their the food and the staff go the extra mile to make me and feel special on each visit! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The interior is exactly like that of an old fashioned club in Mumbai, according to my husband (who is from India). Great food, lots of spice and beautiful presentation. A bit expensive for what it is, but I guess you come here for the overall experience

Heard good things about this place so expectations were high!
It was a busy Saturday night yet still received a warm welcome which was a good start. We then headed to the bar for some great G&T's. The bar is small & cosy, there were eight of us so we ordered drinks & proceeded to the table in the interesting, very attractive dining room.
The food did not disappoint nor did some jolly nice wine. Couldn't fault the service either.
We came a long way for this meal & will return as soon as we can.

I did not expect an elegant Indian restaurant which creates a nice environment for a fantastic dinner before I walked in. By the name I thought it would be a theme restaurant with some modern decor, it is themed but decor is just the opposite...a touch of colonial era relics.

The food names are quite simple and straight and not the traditional ones. I have to admit the price bit on upper side. The food comes quite quick as we settle down in our evening chats.

The presentation is nice for some of the dishes. The taste is good with the right mix of spices.. The chicken and the non veg items were quite different and retained the right texture but well marinated retaining the right flavours.

The one thing I did not like was the garlic naan was bit burnt and who would like the taste if burnt garlic ! Not me certainly.

Very nice good, biryani was the best. We had been here for family Christmas dinner last year and when I phoned them to book table n got to know kids are not allowed . I was about to disconnect n they said if kids are quite then it's okay. Right from the main door till we left the restaurant late night after dinner they took care of us just like a family. Every dish we ordered tasted authentic. I had gulab jamoon for dessert and it was made of khoya which just melted in mouth. Planning to book a table here for this Christmas too.

All Food Taste Sweet. Sweet sweet sweet filled with cream ... Pathetic

-----23 Dec, 2014-----

RIP OFF PEOPLE & overly priced item. THE FOOD IS NOT WORTH A PENNY ALMOST EVERY DISH IS LIKE A SWEET DISH. RIPPING PROPLE OFF. DAY LIGHT RIBBERLacking favour and filled with cream. £300 between 5 adults and 3 children. When asked about the cheif one says it's Bengali the other said it's from Delhi. Either of the chief knows how to cook a proper Indian authentic dish. The waiter judges you and serve you according to how much you will spend and then their attitude changes. Served us coconut chutney which was gone off. Haven't we notice we all have eaten it and had a tummy trouble next day. The waiter argued that the chutney is perfect. The food was all sweet and not worth going for any any dessert. A waste of money with what a waste of food. I Understand the hotel got good reviews but I personaly believe all Indian food lovers should stay out of this RESTAURANT WHO OVER PRICED THE ITEM. Please check your bill before you pay - be sure of the adds on which u haven't order.

Authentic taste. Was here today for a party organised on the first floor. The service was excellent and all the staff were very pleasing and helpful, it felt like all the staff took pride and ownership of the place. The food was superb, a very authentic Butter chicken and Punjabi Lamb is what we had is probably the best we tasted outside India. Did look at the menu and the prices did seem a bit on the expensive side but I guess good food and service deserve some remuneration.
They have ample free parking behind the restaurant. On the first floor there a small bar like area with a TV separated from the main restaurant to check that all important score. The decor is very good with photographs from all over erstwhile India. The decor in the washrooms are for the adult eyes only though.
Overall a good experience and well recommended.

Visit on jan 21 2012. It must be said that years gone, going to Tamasha was a very special and uplifting occasion. however our last two visits have been exeptionally poor. The cost used to be offset against the the detail to perfection and personal attention.
A meal for four cost us just under £300, the food was of a less than adequate and the service from the staff was abysmal. rude would be the perfect word to use to explain how we were treated.
Next time for a curry we shall visit a main run of the mill establishment and save ourselves a small packet and am sure will recieve better service.
we will not be visiting them again...

Great atmosphere with very attentive service. Wonderful tasty food with only one gripe was the fiinal bill. You can get carried away and so can the bill, a little expensive but save a visit for a special occassion.
