Back in the very early 1970s, I used to live in nearby Palace Road. We called the area The Golden Square, simply because we had The Red Lion, The Anglesea Arms, The Freelands Tavern, The Crown and Anchor and The White Horse...all within a 5 minute walk of each other.
It was a truly wonderful time

Friendly locals pub. It’s great in the winter with their big open fire. Staff are welcoming, chatty and friendly. Some more interesting beers would be great though. Nicely tucked away down some backstreets with other pubs nearby to crawl to.
This is a diamond of a pub. Came here with mates on a Christmas pub crawl. We're all from Bromley but don't come to this pub enough. It's an absolute gem- friendly landlord, lovely patrons and an all round good laugh! Cannot recommend enough!
Lovely pub, nice staff, landlord always welcoming, allows children. Live music at the weekends, clean facilities, always friendly people in there, nice atmosphere.
Friendly and welcoming pub. Nice and cosy, lots of entertainment and games such as pool/darts. Drinks are more expensive than other places nearby but worth paying the extra for the environment/vibe.
I visited this pub for the first time and will defiantly be going back. The service was fantastic with friendly bar staff and the establishment was very warm cosy with a warm fire going. Would recommend this pub!!

Small local pub with a great atmosphere that makes you feel very welcome. The Guvs (Bruno & Teresa) make you feel very much at home.....it is a little oasis!
