Review At The Chapel Restaurant - Bruton

Lunch on Tuesday with friends - pre booked as noted it gets busy and it was. Pizza really tasty and thin crust / no burnt bits! Friend had trout small plate which whilst small was also delicious. They went out of their way to get the recipe for us for the sauce and printed out for us. Good atmosphere, friendly team, art gallery vibe . Definitely worth a visit

Excellent fresh pizza dough! I’ve recently moved to the area and had tried some of the Chapel’s pizza, so I inquired about fresh dough. I was hosting some friends and wanted a pain free option for meat-eaters and veggies! The dough was excellent and went down very well with everyone, so much so that I ordered some more for hosting my parents the following weekend! It tastes amazing and cooks so well in my fan oven! Can’t wait for another excuse to order again. Also, always an excellent meal in house - I had an amazing plate of pumpkin tortellini last week!

I visited the restaurant during a recent visit from Yorkshire to catch up with a friend who lives locally. We only had a pizza and beer, the pizza was outstanding, I asked for a firm base and it was cooked perfectly to my liking. The décor is wonderful, high ceilings with perfect lighting; the service was excellent, a friendly and professional waiter was looking after us. Highly recommended.

A fantastic place to stop for a meal. Simple, unpretentious food cooked to an exceptional quality with a real focus on how to incorporate local produce. Service was impeccable and manager Marcos made our anniversary extra special. I went back the next day for a coffee and Marcos welcomed me back in as though I was a regular. Well worth a visit here.

The Chapel atmosphere feels like a contemporary galaxy, brimming with comfort. On this sunny day, the view through its window is sheer artistry. Additionally, highly recommend the local bread which is filled with the fresh aroma of wheat, unmatched by any bread in the city.

Wonderful lunch here The staff observed that it was our daughters birthday and kindly made a suprise treat without us asking. Not only did they give us a surprise, the food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. 10/10 and would definitely come again

We spent a lovely night there as the first night of our 5th anniversary weekend. The room was great and we were lucky enough to stay in the room with the stained glass window.

Excellent pizza in particular in a lovely setting. Lots of natural light. Nice bakery as well. Feels like chipping Norton in Somerset. You can decide whether that is a good thing or not?!

Visiting Bruton for a Sunday lunch you cannot go wrong with a visit to the At the Chapel restaurant and shop which has friendly and helpful staff, and facilities. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The space is beautiful which is a huge part of the appeal. The food was also delicious, we really enjoyed it and service was attentive. I found it a bit expensive for what it was but it was definitely enjoyed.

I ate at the chapel last night and was absolutely blown away. The venue, the food, the atmosphere, the drinks, the service, the decor, the floor to ceiling wood fired oven!!! I could go on and on !! Everything was spot on and made for a perfect evening.

We had a lovely meal here, food was delicious and service was great - rare to find such a good British restaurant especially in a small market town.

Just wanted to say a big thank you. We chose At the Chapel to host our wedding rehearsal dinner and could not have been happier. The whole restaurant is beautiful but we really enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace. The food was so delicious, they even had gluten free bread which my mother in law, a coeliac, said was the best she'd ever had. The service was also fabulous, it was a wonderful evening.

Money Went Missing!Went to stay thechapelbruton. Staff were good and our breakfast was delicious. Whilst our room had no window that opened there was a Dyson fan. So everything would have been great for our two night stay except on the second afternoon / evening a four figure some of cash (for our summer holiday) was taken from my rucksack locked in our room. As you can imagine our holiday was ruined. The hotel never answered our question as to "should we not have been able to expect security of our possessions within the room". Obviously won't be going back. Really saddened by this whole business. Whilst the hotel made "all the right noises" they weren't prepared to offer any compensation to us for our loss; and the police got no further either!

The perfect stop off on our post wedding journey home for two hungover fussy eaters. Great welcome and great service thank you.

Had a lovely afternoon tea At The Chapel today. They were very accommodating with our little dog. Also getting ready for a wedding tomorrow. The flowers were stunning. We had REAL tea, beautiful fresh scones, the jam was delicious. All the staff were charming. Will certainly be returning. Best wishes for the happy couple tomorrow.

We had a wonderful stay. Room was well equipped with lots of nice touches (the freshly baked croissants on the door in the morning were a great treat). On top of that, all the staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be recommending to friends!
