Me and the wife decided to go here for some food recently as we live in Hemingbrough and thought we'd give it a try. We arrived when it opened so we were the first people in and were greeted and told we could sit wherever we liked. After sitting down the bar man asked us what we would like to drink
Food and service was really good. A very varied menu. I had a vegetable lasagne which was good and cheesy. It also came with chips...a lot of chips. Beer selection is pretty good too; I went with Beavertown Neck Oil.

Service was excellent, soup and main meal well presented and were hot and cooked to perfection, had the cheese cake for sweet which was delicious and nicely presented.

Has a lovely Sunday roast today, all vegetables were fresh and plenty of it, so much choice on the menu so something for everyone. Very friendly staff definitely recommend and will be back.

Great gem of a village pub. Very pleasant atmosphere with helpful polite staff not to forget the delicious food and amazing deserts. Very reasonable prices and large portions. Would recommend for private intimate meals to family gatherings they can accommodate you.
Lovely guy who served us, I like to eat a decent amount of food and we got plenty between us.
They have those soft on the inside crispy on the outside chips.
