Birdie's Kitchen At The South Devon Railway - Buckfastleigh - Photo album

WOW, what a lovely experience to visit for breakfast today. It was busy but my superb breakfast arrived beautifully cooked and presented within 10 minutes of ordering. Even my coffee was still warm! Which is a pleasant novelty compared to many establishments. Any previous criticisms are now definite
What a treasure! We were looking for the Buckfastleigh services and stumbled upon Birdies Kitchen at the South Devon Railway Station. The "Full Steam Ahead" breakfast was possibly the best breakfast I have ever had! Amazing quality ingredients along with excellent coffee made this the perfect brunc
Fabulous place! Had a makeover and is looking fantastic! Amazing food and really friendly hosts Birdie and Jonathan! You can't come to the railway without visiting Birdie's kitchen! A selection of locally made gifts too!
I tried the Moroccan Breakfast which was absolutely superb, it's exactly as described, and was extremely tasty. Very happy I tried something different. Husband had a "Full Steam Ahead" breakfast which had everything you could possibly want in a full-english, and very nicely done. We'll be back lat
Good food, plenty of seating. Lady initially overcharged me but I came back later, explained and she honoured (more than) the difference with a free cake. It was seemingly an honest mistake and the gesture was appreciated.
Very disappointed when we arrived at the restaurant that you only take card payments only and not cash as well. We are old age pensioners and had to wait until some younger friends came so we could have coffee and food of which was very nice thankyou, we think you should have a rethink about your
A huge variety of food, cake and hot drinks. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Good amount of entertainment for the small human, especially with a model shop attached next door. We had the carrot cake which had avocado in. Yum. Good coffee too!
Visited Birdies kitchen for the first time after seeing a lot of advertising on Facebook. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, as it is part of the South Devon Railway in Buckfastleigh there's lots to see and do. I had a half steam english breakfast and the scrambled eggs were delicious and t
The best smashed avocado I’ve ever had! Gorgeous art deco style cafe with mouth watering tacos, juices and smoothies. Definitely coming back for more! 💕
A very early put stop for us on our way to a funeral in Plymouth in absolutely pouring rain. Hot drinks and some sausage and bacon baps set us up for the next stage of our journey. Plenty of filling in the baps and they were warmed through for us while we waited. Good natured and friendly staff pre
Lovely place to visit in any weather surprisingly large menu too
Jay Jay and gabs were lovely today when we visited. Great ice cream and food! P.s enjoy little mermaid 🧜🏻‍♀️
Glad to have found this place as the train doesn't run very frequently, and the Cafe at the Otter Sanctuary was closed. Decent selection of food + drinks in fairness. Little run-down, but not too bad. Soap pumps in the Gents weren't working so marked down a star.
Love this place! Great food, and friendly helpful staff. The tacos are awesome!
Lovely staff , good food worth a visit. Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday. Can recommend the carrot cake.
