Cracking pub! Popped in to watch the rugby as we were staying in the area yesterday, got served half time food of an amazing lamb stew (would love the recipe!!) and Mash.. great selection of drinks and friendly locals. Popped back for a hangover beating breakfast this morning, before we came home.. really good quality food, lovely sized breakfast and snuggly pub atmosphere.. we will definitely be back!!

Love going in here for lunch, good value for money. Not been in much for dinners but what we have had has been good. Good pub for live music.
A huge thank you to Lisa and the team at The Fountain Inn for providing us with another fantastic breakfast - all 37 of us - on Friday morning. We were really set up for the weekend managing our event for 1200 scouts. You are all so welcoming and accommodating to our many different requests. Thanks so much and hope to see you in 2020!!

Dropped in here a handful of times but of first time for food, 3 x meals all super fresh, hot and good quality. The atmosphere and dog friendly nature is the main draw for us, lots of selection of beer, lager and ciders etc. We'll be back for sure, if not next week, it'll be the weekend after. We went to The Fountain Inn for lunch during our holiday in Wales, while exploring the town of Builth Wells and had a lovely time!
The Fountain Inn’s food was great. We had the tuna sandwich, bacon and tomato sandwich, and cheese jacket potato and all lunches were very nice. Also, the service we had from Jess was excellent, she was so friendly!

A friendly welcoming High Street pub in the centre of Builth Wells. 3 real Ales plus a real cider, all in excellent condition, and the Jewel in the Crown has to be the superb all day breakfast at £7. An absolute must if you are passing this way.
Very ancient structure. Quaint. Good staff. Quality food. Reasonable rates. Must visit. .
The traditional pub serves hearty meals and good ale.

St. David's chicken is an item you don't see very often. Must try. The vegetarian lasagne was very good too. We shall visit again.
Absolutely fantastic pub it has about 4 areas to sit in plus it has a beer garden too.
Awesome/friendly staff, Absolutely amazing food and decently priced and the fountain burger was amazing plus a plateful of chips to go with it, very filling unfortunately I had no room to try pudding but that’s for next time on my travels.
Amazing place. Amazing staff. Amazing atmosphere. We are not from the area, we just had a nights stop over and found this place by chance. We'll definitely be going back.

Went back, no change ,still amazing, staff and clientele very friendly, welcomed our dog too
We even had a lovely meal. Literally took 10minutes to reach our table. Prices are so cheap. We chose the steak.

Friendly pub , good range of beers , chatty staff. Haven't eaten here yet but it is on the to do list as the menu looks good.
The Fountain Inn accomodated to reserving a table for a family of three on holiday near by. Especially a Saturday evening.
A staff memeber called Kerry helped with service at the bar and provided us with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Food and drink was lovely and reasonably priced.
Found this place by chance for breakfast as we turned up too early for the royal welsh show and what a faultless place 👌🏻 we all enjoyed our breakfast and the service was outstanding

I walked in and saw a bloke pouring a pint u could of served a flake with it after seeing that I instantly wanted to punch the little ginger kid which walked in I had 6 Stella’s got in beat the wife so in total I completely recommend

Called yesterday with 26 people 2.45 prearranged all ordered meals of menu all well presented . Hot and plenty full the staff more than helpfull thank you all at the fountian inn .
