Have been meaning the visit the The Old Bank Bungay since moving to Norfolk last year.
Called in for tea yesterday and what a great experience - excellent service, really fresh sandwiches (with the crusts trimmed!) and the tea was great.

It's only a small tea room but very accommodating.
Came with my Little daughter who has an egg allergy. From the phone call to leaving, the team here were amazing: attentive, kind and lovely. Chef created a cracking fine afternoon tea that was perfect for us both. Could not recommend enough. More stars required
Went for afternoon tea, booked via email and was responded too very quickly. Greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table and had the afternoon tea explained to us - being given the choice of what we wanted was a nice touch, 5 scones to choose from, 6 different cake options and 5 different sandwiches.
I had read through previous reviews and a reoccurring comment was slow service, which I would agree with as our food took about 20mins to come out, however we weren't in a hurry and the atmosphere was pleasant so we didn't mind.
Me and my boyfriend agreed this was the best afternoon tea we have had and thoroughly enjoyed it, the fruit scone I had was absolutely amazing!
Only negative I have is the room we were in (old managers office) was quite hot and stuffy but as the weather has been very hot lately I don't think the venue is to blame.
Gifted afternoon tea for two and couldn't have been happier! Food was amazing and so were the staff. Will definitely be coming again 😁
Fun place for all day refreshment. Good pots of tea, fresh sandwiches, indulgent bakes and cakes all in a whimsically decorated banking hall of yesteryear. Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel hit the spot.
Great atmosphere, great customer service ,very friendly bistro cafe what was just what we required on a wet and miserable afternoon in Bungy Only moan is that that don't do barista coffee, that said the cafeterias was delicious and fitted the ambiance and setting

We stopped for lunch and what a great choice of a cafe it was! Home made quiche was absolutely delicious and the goats cheese salad with smoked salmon was certainly one of the best salads I've ever had! Top marks for everything!
