Words cannot describe, the Dedication and Passion the Staff at the Railway Pub. They're so welcoming and work so hard to make the pub run smoothly. The Staff are the best part and I'm very pleased to know most of the team.
I have tried a plate of Food for the first time in a long time and I have to say it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. I had a Cheeseburger and I have to give the Kitchen Staff 10/10 it was really delicious and the presentation on the plate was very impressive.
The Service when asking for a drink is quick, it takes around two minutes to get the drink which is outstanding.
The Atmosphere of the pub is great and no surprise, it is usually packed with customers. Always having a very friendly environment, the setting of the Venue is very true to the Name, it's a lovely place for train lovers to have a drink with their friends as well as everyone who comes to visit.
Overall, I have to put the Railway is in the list of my top 5 favourite pubs to visit.

I had the pleasure of being served by Abby at the pub, and I couldn't be more delighted with the experience. Abby's service was exceptional - she was attentive, friendly, and had a great knowledge of the menu. Her cheerful personality made the evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend visiting this pub and asking for Abby; she truly deserves 5 stars for her outstanding service!

Arrived at the railway the pub on Thursday the two female staff on shift were so helpful and very well mannered and the food was worth every penny the mixed grills are to die for. I was informed of what was available and what was out of stock, Big thanks has to go to the chef on the day as never have I had such a great experience in a pub with excellent quality on the food and amazing hospitality. The manager has done a exceptional job in the pub it’s become the talk of the town

English style bar. Good atmosphere. Friday and Saturday live music . A bit expensive . But worth it . Very friendly waiters. Congratulations for the great concert this Saturday 15th of July. It was great to see my Soulmate again jjjjiiiiii 🤣
Had a lovely Sunday afternoon at the Top house served by a very smiley Gavin and Meghan on our arrival. Food was cooked to perfection. We didn’t even have to ask for drawing for my friends 7 year old Gavin came over with lots of drawing and things to do. Staff asking if everything is okay. Again very down to earth and happy bar staff which makes everything feel relaxed. Would highly recommend. Thanks again.
Great local pub opposite the Railway Station. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and good value food. You would have to go far to find better price good quality pub grub.
The staff at this pub were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. There is a good atmosphere with plenty of seating both inside and out. It is dog friendly if you need to bring a dog with you. There is a good choice of beers and other drinks. The food is typical of this type of pub. It is not 'home made' but is good value for the price. We had the vegetarian beyond burger, which was cooked well. The presentation of the food could be improved. There is a fair vegetarian menu, but the emphasis is on meat meals. There is a car park at the pub and plenty of street parking in the vicinity.
Standard pub. 5 for £20 menu ok. Pitcher offer is good. Very nice and helpful staff.

Don't go there much now but had drinks with friends from work last Friday.
It was fun, with a disco too.
We have been here several times, mainly because my mum is in a care home in Burgess Hill and want to get her out now and again. They have wheelchair access and the staff are always brilliant with mum and the service and food is top notch. They have a seniors menu which is perfect for mum as she is 90 and does not have a huge appetite.
good dishes and the truth is that they put a lot. Typical English food fish and potatoes, meat, chicken with sauce and mixed dishes. They have Kids menu and for celiacs
The place is big and you can eat at any time, which is appreciated since other places usually close at 2:30 p.m.
They have a terrace that is good in good weather.
Good energy at this venue. Friendly staff and customers. A Saturday night attendance was marred by a good band that was soo loud the notes were lost and the music suffered. Go visit and make your own mind up 😁
We came to the railway today for a late lunch and we were served by Ben he was lovely, very patient and kind to my 5 year old who wanted to be a grown up and order all the meals and pay. The food isn’t always the best but the service from Ben made it worth it. We will be back again
What an amazing pub!!! We came for food late Friday afternoon and didn’t leave until the close!! Lovely food, great value for money and the brownie was AMAZING!! Special shout out to ‘Beks’ for being so accommodating!! This was followed by music from the brilliant ‘James’ who catered for all! A must do visit should you be passing by! We will certainly be back!!
I’ve had a great couple of nights at the railway over the last few months on a Wednesday eve. Great mini plates and was really happy to win burn the bill on a recent visit.
